Feels like you can't really improve until you can assess the level you're at.

We seem to be trying to operate at a level we can't afford nor have the squad balance for it to make sense.

You sign Pepe when your CB and CM is sorted. You sign your second £50m striker when your CB and CM are sorted.

Bizarre.

Buying furniture before a house is even built, that’s what Pepe is.

Look at those CB’s and midfielders. Is anyone really surprised at our performances against the top 6 sides when we lack quality in the most important areas of the pitch.

We went from Fabregas, Ramsey, Nasri, Wilshere and Song to the crap we have now.

:frustrated:

Listen guys, we were playing against the champions, a team who are settled & drilled & along with Liverpool are the ultimate systems team, and we were playing them with a 21 year old, a 20 year old, and a 23 year old guy on loan from Madrid in midfield, & an 18 year old, 21 year old & Auba up front. We lost 2 players first half through injury. And we should have went in the break at 0-0 if it wasn't for the Luiz masterclass.

We didn't learn anything we didn't already know. We know the midfield needs more quality & athleticism. We know Luiz can be an utter liability. We know City are streets ahead of us. I just hope we can pick ourselves up & move on to Brighton next.

Sorry but why aren't we starting with Martinelli/Saka Auba and Pepe?

We should be scaring teams with pace and scoring ability.

Arsenal are so depressing. Need to kick out a lot of players
Apparently they are the same player according to some.

Again I have no problem with losing to City, but why does it always have to be like this? We can fight and just be outclassed by KDB, Mahrez, Sterling. No shame in that. We just make it 10 times worse.

Why does every game against a top 6 involves a CB error, a red card and a penalty?
Because we own a whole bunch of rash CBs. Only this club could have seen our CBs under Emery and thought, 'I know a rash, ageing Chelsea reject CB and a £70m forward will fix this team".

Am I getting you right? You are gonna put the blame on these three for the loss?
Nobody's hating on the youngsters, but even you've got to admit they fielded a team of quality pros against our gang of inexperienced kids scattered with a few average pros.

Arsenal is a mess and only going one way and its got nothing to do with the manager.

Wenger sowed the seeds of my apathy towards the club tbh. I was numb to his efforts to turn us into WBA in the end. Wenger dropped us off at that dodgy car park on the moors, and now we're trudging home in the rain with caves for an anus.
People who thought the problem with our club was Wenger . . .:lol::lol:

Actually, all you do on this forum is hating on the youngsters so yes someone is hating at very least.

The seniors like Laca and Pepe, Xhaka, Mustafi, Luiz, etc have got us into massive problems this season and now we are trying to look forward and create something new.

No way a victory should be expected here but even if we look at the lost it was the seniors once again that were the worst players on the field.

I don't buy the "not good enough players" excuse.
How come other teams, some even lower on the epl table, play City and Pool and at least give them a fight? Yet we play them and surrender to a 12-0 attempt on target.

We lack balance in our squad and we lack stability. It will take time but for starters, we need to trust that Arteta was the right appointment. Then we need to sack Raul and start recruiting better.

The players just lack fight in them. Look at all our 50/50s yesterday. City won most!
At 2-0, Reiss squared the ball to Auba, look at the determination from the City player to stop Auba from scoring.

Few minutes before then, City players were passing the ball like globe teeters in our box and our players letting them
