Arsenal: No new injuries
Newcastle: Darlow, Lascelles, Hayden, Fraser out; Schar could return; Willock ineligible

  • Newcastle United have lost just one of their last eight Premier League matches (W2 D5).
  • The Magpies have both scored and conceded in their last eight PL home matches, and are unbeaten in their last five at St James’ Park (W2 D3).
  • Arsenal have won 15 of their last 16 PL matches against Newcastle.
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can become the first Arsenal player to score in five successive appearances against an opponent in all competitions since Olivier Giroud's six-match streak against Aston Villa between 2013 and 2016.

Ceballos could start in place of either CM but really ought to be punished for his performance against Villarreal. Sub Tierney and Auba/Nelli off after an hour to get them ready for Thursday.

Willock ineligible. There's a chance we can win this one then.

Figured out why the last 15 was so defensive, if thats what we should call it. I was so focused on away goals, I forgot its the second tie breaker after goal differential. Still hate losing though.

Play everyone who’s going to play on Thursday except those who are in the ‘red zone’.

They need to be kept sharp, completely missing a game can disrupt some players.

Respect to anyone who finds the enthusiasm to watch this. It will be interesting to see who between Arteta, Dean, Leno and Xhaka does the most to drop points. Dean has the most experience but the other 3 are in a stunning run of malignant form.
