No but most Norwegians speak English.
I mean yeah it's the same here but we still have our pundits speak Swedish. Seems weird to have it setup like that. Then again we actually have some former players worth theor salt unlike Norway.

I've seen Carragher a few times when i've watched Champions League coverage on Viasat.

Joelinton looked dreadful for them and that Almiron lad is a dirty cheat.

Gucci looked exciting though, although he’s got a poor end product.
Almiron does look like a cheat but Joelinton causes us some problems in the first-half. He'll do well in this league,

Still not sure what Ceballos brings. Two lofted balls across the penalty box that ended up with Newcastle players. Hasn't gelled with the rest of the team.
Mhki is so frustrating. Tried to inject some urgency and creativity to the attack but his final ball is so poor.
Pepe hardly touched the ball. Was excited to see him come on but he was really quiet.
Xhaka was ok. Gave the ball away a couple of times. Think one was a header across the front of the penalty box, but created an opportunity and was otherwise solid.
Thought the defense was mostly solid. They chose to attack down AMN's flank and he handled them decently.
Team still lacking creativity. Not sure how much those coming back will improve us. Perhaps better crossing, more pace down the flanks but we seem to have no ideas how to open up teams from the middle.

Lovely to win on the opening day, in an Adidas kit and a 1-0 scoreline. I was happy with effort all put in. A couple of times our players could have intercepted but played it safe and got goal side. I though Chambers missed a couple of headers but overall, Newcastle were underwhelming. I'm pretty happy to have beaten Steve Bruce as well. Well have to play better but looking at the squad and the missing players to return, there's no too much dross that has to be played if Emery gets his tactics right. COYG.

Love how people are already judging our new signings after one game where they didn't even start because they aren't even full match ready yet.

Auba, AMN, Chambers, Guendouzi, Willock (first half) were stand out players. Not the best performance, but happy to see youngsters given a chance (actually Emery didn't have a choice) and defense was solid at last.

Has Ceballos even played a full 90 across his handful of appearances yet? Gotta be record time for a player being written off

Very happy with the result, but the general play was poor.

Very little movement off the ball, few chances created, very sloppy passing as if this was the first pre-season game, initiated all of Newcastle's dangerous moments ourselves.

Defense was solid if unspectacular. AMN MotM. Xhaka and Guendouzi very poor in the first half, but much improved in the second. Willock should be played at 8, not 10. Many players who aren't really 10's tend to continuously stay too close to the box / striker when played there. Does have obvious quality though, would rather see him than Guendouzi at the moment. Mkhi looked to create a few dangerous moments, but continuously undid his own good initial work with absolutely dreadful passing. Nelson should really open up more, quality is there. Auba is lethal. Ceballos will do well, he's always looking to progress the game, but started sloppy. Also didn't seem entirely pain free. Nothing to judge from Pepe yet, showed an eye for the goal when he made a run in the box that Auba nearly reached.

All in all, plenty to work with, but also to work on. At least we have the important away result.

Almiron looks like a character from a Tim Burton film and is a poor footballer.

Absolute bust of a signing. Loved the booking for his ridiculously poor dive.
