The only thing we can hope for with this team is to at least organise ourselves into a better shape and be pragmatic.

Until we sort the midfield out there's no way we can start controlling games and playing free-flowing football.

Just watched the highlights, if you can call them that. Eddie's miss at the end of the first half wasn't in the BBC highlights weirdly. Shame he didn't put that one away, should've put it on target at least. Happy he got a goal, though.

Auba was quite dangerous I saw, caused the red card and hit the crossbar in the early stages of the game. Also could've assisted Nketiah. Auba seems to work hard for the team, which is good to see.

Auba has been lackluster recently. Played well yesterday, worked very hard for the team, and was involved much more compared to the last couple of games.

What an atrocious game, we got lucky for the most part and some dogged displays from the players got us over the line. The 5 at the back thing was Emery ball at its worst and the team looked so disjointed...
We were in the City game until we got unlucky and had two injuries against us. It's about time we had some good luck. The team just needed to get a win couldnt care if it was sexy football or defensive football. We just needed it. And we got it by going back to basics and defending well first and foremost.

We have one decent CM(xhaka) at the club, how is that even possible at a club like Arsenal?
If we fix this(probably need to sign two CMs in the summer) the squad is really promising and most our flaws would go away automatically with a proper central midfield.

Poor recruiting, injuries, poor recruiting.

We have no money to fix this, we've just wasted another gazillion million on paying Luiz when we could be looking at other players to strengthen the midfield.

Not using it as an excuse by any means, but referees have absolutely screwed us this season. Yesterday Hojberg made a cynical foul on Pepe and escaped without a booking- Mustafi is over zealous near the touching with a tackle and collects a yellow immediately.

This kind of **** has been happening all season long. Even against Citeh, Luiz’s error to give Citeh a pen was identical to a foul by Garcia made on Nketiah. We didn’t even get a free kick for that.

Refs feel less inclined to give us decisions- that much is obvious. Corrupt ****s. A blatant red card in our favour doesn’t change that.

It was not even a win. One mistake made from the opponent keeper and one fluky rebound from a set piece.

Yes, the luck is on our side, but according to probability, luck is just as likely to fall on the opponent side on another day.

Since when did we actually scored a proper goal? I'm not talking about deflection goal, or set pieces. Im talking about a proper teamwork goal that includes many one touch passes and through passes, or an individual brilliance goal that dribbling past a few players to score.

In the past, when we have conceded 2-3 goals , we were capable to score 3-4 beautiful goals up front. Now even if we just conceded 1 at the back and it seems so hard for us to score 1 goal up front.

How many of our goals are proper goal this season? How many wins are proper win but not a lucky one? What type of attacking players do we have now vs in the past? Martinelli and Saka are the more skillful ones, but how about the others?

Wonder why ****e like walcott and adebayor could score a decent amount of goals here. It was because we had super talented players like Fabregas, Hleb, rosicky, Nasri, cazorla Arshavin, van perise...to feed them so that they can waste tonnes and tonnes of chances and still score some goals. What players do we have now?
