• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

We used to have a players fitness thread, where we always knew who was injured and what was the latest on them. I felt it’s a good thread to have to summarize our injurie woes, instead of doing this in all of the separate player threads.

Short term:

- Tierney had cramp vs. Palace, is a minor doubt but probably fine. Possible return date: 21-12-2024 (Crystal Palace).
- Rice picked up a niggle vs. Everton, sat out the cup game yesterday but should be fine according to Arteta. Possible return date: 21-12-2024 (Crystal Palace).
- Calafiori has a knee injury, ahead of the Everton game Arteta said that he’s not fully ready, but he’s close. Possible return date: 21-12-2024 (Crystal Palace).

Unknown:

- Zinchenko is struggling with a muscular injury before the Fulham game. There's not much information about when he's back. Possible return date: unknown.
- White is a long term absentee, recovering from surgery on a knee problem. Possible return date: unknown.
- Tomiyasu recovered from a knee injury only to pick up another one in six minutes vs. Southampton. Possible return date: unknown.

Short term:

- Nobody. Rice, Calafiori are available for the squad vs. Palace, Zinchenko probably as well. Tierney wasn't mentioned so he's probably fit too.

Long term:

- Tomiyasu has been out since October 5th with a knee injury. On November 22nd Arteta said that "he was going away for a few weeks to continue his treatment and change his environment. Hopefully it can unlock him". So he's on holiday in Japan until further notice probably. No further updates. Possible return date: unknown.
- White is still recovering from surgery, no further updates. Possible return date: unknown.

I wonder why we completely stopped getting any reports on Tomiyasu. I know he’s not really a key player but it’s kinda ridiculous at this stage. I guess he has one more year? Then his contact expires end of next season?

Just sucks that Tomiyasu has basically been a write-off. He's such a good and versatile player. His contract does end in 2026, but we have an option for another year. If he's struggling mentally aswell as physically the club might take the option to extend basically just to give him some money towards retirement..

Since we’ve lost our head physio to United we’ve had a diabolical injury record.

The amount of injuries going on two seasons is obscene.

Not having a good feeling with this list growing

They should basically all be back before or just after the international break. Only Jesus is a bit unclear. Just need to get through these next 2 games without another...

latest update on Gyokeres is not looking promising. Still no news about Martinelli.

I think we are gonna receive a massive double Orndagger.

He does it all the time though. Even with martinelli. Just radio silence on him. I presume by now they must have some clue whats going on. Absolutely zero information on it.
If there’s still swelling, they can’t do a scan to understand the severity of the injury yet

Arsenal Quotes

I often relive those 49 undefeated matches. I do believe in signs to a certain extent, and as I was born in 1949, I sometimes tell myself it was our destiny to lose the 50th. Those 49 matches are etched within me and within each player: it is something fundamental, a triumph born out of passion.
