He could of been the main man here imo
I remember there was that winter window we got linked heavy with Demba Ba and Mo Diame.
Would have been brutal seeing those two in red and white.
Could have used Balo in ‘15.
Pretty sure I remember Wenger being very critical of him during WC 2014 because of his attitude. I'm not sure Wenger really liked what he saw with him.
At least if we'd signed those two, we wouldn't have had to bother with Flamini and Sanogo a few months later.
Worse attitude than Anelka so I think not...
Glad we didn’t sign Sergei Rebrov. We were linked with him before Sp**s got him.
Saw him mentioned in another thread recently but Caglar Soyuncu; done nothing at Leicester and if I remember correctly was gonna start here.
And then it reminded me of the crazy scouse fans who got too excited that Balotelli will be even better than the departing Suarez.
Gutted we let Fabianski go. Best keeper in the league.
Tony Kay and Peter Swan.
Are you posting from a graveyard? When are those from, 1934?
Nah, only the 1960s. They could have potentially been part of England's World Cup winning team had they not got caught up in the big betting scandal and banned for life.
That one is clearly a case of agent and selling club wanting to make a buck on the back of the player. Soyuncu looked seriously promising, but of course had a lot of areas where he needed to improve, too. The best for him would've been to stay at Freiburg for at least another season. But Freiburg, who are a very, very, very, small club reliant on shrewd business and making money by selling saw that high fee, the agent smelled blood, and he was gone.
Could probably run through a list of Brazilians that include Melo, Baptista and Gustavo
