The summer is still long but here we go again. Hope I didn't make a mistake in the list. Let's start updating this as the season unfolds, keeping tabs on the closest competitors too.

Leicester City become Leeds United
Ipswich Town become Burnley
Southampton become Sunderland

As of Jan 03, 2026 - Final expected points: 89 (+15)

Round-up:

It's between us and City, the rest are dropping off quickly.

Next up:

Chelsea - Everton:
26 Apr 2025 — Nicolas Jackson's first goal in 13 Premier League matches provided a major boost to Chelsea's UEFA Champions League qualification hopes as they beat Everton 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool - Brighton: 2 Nov 2024 — A second-half comeback from Liverpool saw them return to the Premier League summit with a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield.
Arsenal - Wolves: 17 Aug 2024 — Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were on target as Arsenal began the new Premier League season with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Crystal Palace - Man City: 7 Dec 2024 — Crystal Palace and Manchester City played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park that extended the reigning champions' winless away run to four league matches.

Awful round in terms of projected points. Liverpool and Chelsea don't really matter, and City have the opportunity to improve their +10 to a +12 this round if they beat Palace. We just have to win.

Round-up:

City have overtaken us in the projected table, as they beat Palace and go 12 points above what they did last year. It's still very close though and we have some big opportunities next:

Next up:

Newcastle - Chelsea:
11 May 2025 — Newcastle United inched closer to UEFA Champions League qualification as they battled to a crucial 2-0 win over 10-man Chelsea.
Man City - West Ham: 4 Jan 2025 — Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City claimed back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since October with a rampant 4-1 win over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.
Sp**s - Liverpool: 22 Dec 2024 — Liverpool stormed four points clear at the top of the Premier League heading into Christmas with a thrilling 6-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Everton - Arsenal: 5 Apr 2025 — Iliman Ndiaye's penalty earned a point for Everton as they fought back to draw 1-1 with Arsenal at Goodison Park, who dropped more points in the title race.

Huge round in terms of the projected table. If we win we can go level with Man City on 83 points, and it would be a huge boost for our morale. Moreover, this is the first of SIX games in a row where we dropped points last year and we can improve. A good run here could take us over the 90 points line.

Round-up:

Good start of our little run where we messed up last year. It wasn't great, but we should've been clear and lacked in the final third. It's the three points that matter and we move closer to City in that regard.

Next up:

Nottingham Forest - Manchester City:
8 Mar 2025 — Callum Hudson-Odoi boosted Nottingham Forest's hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League as his late goal earned his side 1-0 win over Manchester City.
Liverpool - Wolverhampton Wanderers: 16 Feb 2025 — Liverpool responded to their midweek draw with Everton by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 to restore their seven-point lead at the top.
Arsenal - Brighton: 31 Aug 2024 — A red card for Declan Rice proved key as Arsenal dropped their first points of the Premier League season in a 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Chelsea - Aston Villa: 1 Dec 2024 — Cole Palmer's sublime strike capped off a fantastic 3-0 win for Chelsea over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Could be another good weekend next week. City have the opportunity to get to a projected total of 86 points of course, but they are shaky defensively and could drop points to Forest away. Meanwhile we have Brighton at home, we should really be winning that and get to +11!

Round-up:

Second game out of six where we get maximum points, where we lost points last year. Need to keep adding them to get a really good outlook and stay ahead of Man City, who are doing very well themselves. I've deleted Chelsea from the discussion as they're heading to -8 with the Villa loss, projected 61 points. They're in a race for Champions League, not for the title. If we lose to Villa on Tuesday, I could start adding them, but I feel like they're outperforming themselves and won't keep it up.

Next up:

Arsenal - Aston Villa:
18 Jan 2025 — Aston Villa once again dented Arsenal’s Premier League title charge after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool - Leeds United (Leicester City): 26 Dec 2024 — Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to seven points by fighting back to beat a spirited Leicester City 3-1 at Anfield.
Sunderland (Southampton) - Manchester City: 10 May 2025 — Manchester City were held to a 0-0 draw at Southampton that leaves them looking over their shoulder in the race for the top five and UEFA Champions League.

Another round where both us and Manchester City can gain points over last years results. Going to be interesting, Sunderland are tough at home but City are relentless at the moment. If we beat Villa at home it's looking like a two horse race on the midway point.

Have Arsenal conceded more or less goals so far than last season?
Less. At GW18 last season we conceded 16 goals and we currently have only conceded 11. We also scored 2 less than we did last season. 35 last year and 33 this year.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have always been the club of the people, the streets. Arsenal was one of the first clubs to really have black players, so it did represent the mass of the UK and how London is. I hope people at the club know that and who are they playing for.
