They are now on plus 2, which puts them on 84 projected points. We are on minus 4, which puts us first on 85 points.

Injuries will do us unfortunately but it was getting closer than the actual table suggests.

They are now also projected at 85, because they had 83 last season.

We're now equal, but I hope we can keep the pace with 3 straight wins as they have a very difficult period of Villa, City and Newcastle.

Liverpool now play Wolves at home, which they won 2-0 last year. We are going to Leicester, who replace Luton, where we won in the last minute 3-4. So that means both teams have a +3 coming with points to drop.

After that it's getting interesting:

Aston Villa - Liverpool 3-3
Man City - Liverpool 5-1
Liverpool - Newcastle 4-2

They only got 4 points from the same fixtures last year of a possible 9. The same results this year would be massive.

:applause:
Then I stand corrected, thank you.

I always thought they ended with 83 tbf, I think we should all blame @Synical in unison when she started making these tables
You will notice I never update the 'projected' bit because I didn't know which method you guys were using. So don't blame me

But this all ignores that they are much better this season.. our attack is weaker too.

They aren't better than last season let alone much better. They just didn't have any injuries like they did last. If Salah, Gakpo, Van Dijk etc get injured for a period they will look exactly how they looked last season. Our attack is weaker though but we are still fighting so let's see.

We can actually move to just 1 pt off matching our results from equivalent fixtures if we beat West Ham next week. Pretty wild given the injuries + red cards.

True, but then the only new points we can gather is Fulham at home (+2) and Liverpool away (+2), which ideally sends us to 92.

We still have some potential banana skins like Forest (A), United (A), Chelsea (H), Everton (A) and Newcastle (H).

Pool are have far more tough matches though: Villa (A), City (A), Newcastle (H), Everton (A), Sp**s (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Brighton (A)

We are absolutely going to drop more points - we literally don't have any attackers 😩

I was going to ask why you are worried about United (A) then I remembered our attacker situation 😭

Although in recent years we had few wins there, we usually seem to have some kind of a mental block when going there. While other teams like City, Liverpool, Sp**s and even the likes of Brentford, palace or Brighton spanked them at OT, we barely win by a one goal lead. And they usually raise their game against us as well as you said we have zero attackers, although Merindinho might prove to be a shrewd option.

Yet we are finding solutions.

We’ll continue find a way to win games until our attack is of standard again. There is enough to our overall game to keep us competitive.

The only real challenge is maintaining fitness.

Projected stays the same, Arsenal on 85 and Liverpool on 84. Next week we have HUGE games in terms of the projected table. Liverpool have now have Aston Villa away midweek, a game where they played 3-3 last year and then it's City away, where they drew 1-1. So last year it was only 2 points, they have a huge opportunity to go clear in both the actual table and projected table. But given their form and their schedule, I'm hoping for 1 point maximum. Both Villa and City need the points in their hunt for CL.

Then there's Arsenal. We have West Ham at home, a game we lost 0-2 last year, and we have a full week rest. A win would bring our projected total to 88 points, which is huge given what we've been through. This thread could get ugly this week if Liverpool get 4 points or more, or it could get really feisty.
