If we look corresponding fixtures like last season, we are now at -3 pts.
If we take into account red cards, injuries and poor transfer window, nothing strange.
The biggest problem is that Arteta hasn't added nothing new tactically, this is why we actually regressed.

Also there are plenty of times where we'll drop points probably, but also games to make up for the -3.

Fulham (H): possible +2
Sp**s (H): possible +2
Liverpool (A): possible +2, though of course very difficult
West Ham Utd (H): possible +3
Aston Villa (H): possible +3

When you update Liverpool and City could you please put the red card City got against Palace (84') last week and Liverpool got against Fulham (17') today. Hopefully City get a red tomorrow too 😁

So Liverpool are just +1 assuming they win their game in hand. If they draw it they are -1. If they lose it like last year they are -2.

This makes me feel loads better!

So Liverpool are reverting back to mean? Obviously with Slot this season they have performed better so maybe we need to account for a +5 on that (for now). We need to compensate our -5 soon enough,

Thanks, had other things to do this weekend, Christmas with the kids and all.

We are now on -5, which adds to 84 points. Chelsea are looking good right now, they are now on a projected 78 points. Surprisingly, City are also on 78 projected points. Which means that at this point in time, it looks like it's between us and Liverpool. Liverpool (assuming they win their Everton derby, which isn't a given) are on +1, so 83 points.

All in all things could've been worse for us. Chelsea will probably climb up more because they were so **** last year that they can improve on many games. I can see Liverpool dropping points, they aren't the machine City was the last couple of years. It's down to whether we can find our form before it's too late.

Next round:

Aston Villa - City (1-0)
Crystal Palace - Arsenal (0-1)
Everton - Chelsea (2-0)
Sp**s - Liverpool (2-1)

On paper a terrible week for us in the context of + and -. All the teams around us have lost this game last year and thus a great opportunity for them to start winning. Meanwhile we beat Palace 0-1 and have to do so again to get back on track and not drop down this table.

Yeah, right now it's about keeping the pace. The next chances we can climb on this table is a month away when we play Sp**s and Villa at home on Jan 15th and Jan 18th, so if we win both of those matches, we get +5 points from same matches of last season.

But in the meantime we do have some tricky matches, which could hurt us more, namely Palace, Brighton, and Brentford, all three away. Teh other one is Ipswich at home, which on paper is the easiest one.

Thanks for these great stats. The updated numbers

Liverpool: 86 pts
Arsenal: 84 pts
Chelsea: 79 pts
City: 78 pts

Given that Chelsea had a horrible season last year, I see them picking up more points, for us we need to keep pace with getting the wins and then hopefully picking up dropped points vs. Sp**s and Villa at home in mid-January.

Not a very good weekend for us re. Liverpool, the rest was OK. We can only do our job and win one game at a time, gaining points when we play Sp**s and Villa mid January. No room to drop anywhere I'm afraid.

Sigh we have gone behind for the first time in this projected points. It's looking more and more likely it's unrealistic for us.

Yes, because Liverpool got +3 points today, when compared to last season at WHL when tbh PGMOL shafted them badly with red card and then incorrectly canceling a legit goal.

If we all replicate our results from last season in our remaining matches but we win at Anfield we'll be on 86. Liverpool would be on 85. It's so tight!

We need to win at Anfield. Time to break that hoodoo

Yes, but we only have 5 more games where we can pick off points from last season

Mid January
Sp**s (H)
Villa (H)

22.02.2025
West Ham (H)

01.04.2025
Fulham (H)

10.05.2024
Liverpool (A)

In meantime, we have so many potential banana skin matches, where we could drop further points from last season.

I am looking at:

Brentford (A)
Brighton (A)
City (H)
United (A)
Everton (A)
Chelsea (H)
