Then the next time they will say he’s not contributing much to the game, and there will be talk of Bamford for England or something. I prefer to judge players when they have a sufficient body of work, unless of course they are obvious generational talents. Great goals from Bamford though, especially after missing a few nice chances in the first half.

Yeah 100%. Way too many examples of players being good for a few months then doing nothing.. Consistency is what separates the truly great players from the pretenders..
