Sp**s will always be Sp**s. They'll never be as good as Arsenal, even if they finish ahead for a couple of seasons. I mean, they were due after 20 years in a row. Arsenal will be back ahead of them in short order. United has really been more of a rival on the pitch for decades. If they get knocked out of the top 4 and the CL, it could have more long-term consequences and allow Arsenal to get the upper hand on them again. Plus, Mourinho is an ass. Seeing him fail is more important than seeing any club fail.

Mourinho is an ass, but he's a washed up old ass. He'll be his own downfall himself. Besides, if Utd fail spectacularly this season they'll just keep on throwing money at it till they get it right. They have too much money to truly fall away. You can't get rid of Utd, but you can get rid of Sp*rs.

Watching Sp*rs' best team in decades disintegrate before it's even done anything would be far sweeter than watching a juggernaut find more excuses to break transfer records.

Obviously I'd like to see both Mourinho & Sp*rs suffer. But Sp*rs first and foremost.

Whether or not Sp**s are in the Champions League or the Europa League next year really makes little difference. They won't disintegrate just because they finish 5th instead of 4th. They'll fall away as soon as Pochettino moves on. He's the reason they're where they are now, along with Kane. He'll move to a bigger club and they'll go back to underachieving under a succession of crappy managers. Kane will get snapped up by Real Madrid and they'll blow the money just like they did the Bale money.

Manchester United had a debt of £464 million in 2017. They just reported a £29 million loss in the last six months of the year. Despite their revenue, at some point the debt will become unsustainable. After all the money they've spent to try to get back to where they once were, if they drop out of the Champions League again the Glazers are going to think twice about breaking those transfer records. This isn't the Manchester City oil sheiks throwing money around for their own amusement.

Often wondered how they get away with all that huge debt. Been thinking for a while that it'll catch up with them, but they keep on spending.

I like this kind of analysis, interesting to see how Henry reads that play.

On a sidenote, Henry's hairline is tragic, let it go man :(
