Premier League 2021/22: Race For Top 4

Not sure why ppl think we should be in top 4 tbh - we are not better than those above us in several areas including:

1) management - the top 4 mangers are elite level, all of whom are arguably in the top 6 in the world.

2) squad - both level and size of ours should not deserve top 4 when it’s bare thin beyond the starting 11. The drop off in quality between starters and backups is way too big. Lord help us with Thur night added in for next season!

3) Players strength/mentality - at a young age, most of our players are not physical enough to dominate grown men and tend to have much higher burnout rates towards the latter part of the season. Mentally it’s the same… life experience gives u the edge as u get older eg Chelsea players have prob experienced way more high pressure situations and losses to have experience in say CL. No point Arsenal being in CL next season if they’re not buying experienced/ready players (which it seems they aren’t).

We are about 5th/6th level at best these days, not sure why ppl expect more when competing again teams who are simply better with world class and experienced players. What is it about Arsenal fans that makes them think we should be entitled to be above them? Where’s the evidence for this?

At the start of the season 5th was about right.

However when United don't show up this season, Kane doesn't show up for the first half of the season, Sp**s change managers etc and you find yourself 4 points ahead with 3 games to play you expect to give a proper account for yourself those last 3 games.

Now if you are beat by quality fair enough.

However if you lose because of player stupidity it's another thing. Sp**s didn't win the match against us. We lost it through individual stupidity and manager arrogance.

Nobody is saying we had a given right for top 4. But it was there for us to win.

Nobody expects West Ham to be 2 up against City. But they can still be disappointed by drawing the match 2 2 after finding themselves with a big advantage at half time. The outlook changes game by game, moment by moment.
