Very fee teams go to Anfield as favourites. How many games have Liverpool lost at Anfield this season?
Sure, but we're top of the league on a 7 game winning streak, having scored 3 or more goals in 6 of them.

I totally get what you're saying, but we're favourites.

Not arguing with you fella. Couldn't give a toss what bookies say, but ON FORM, we go in as favourites.

I'm not saying we will defo win.

Well you are arguing. If the bookies analysts dont have us as favourites there's a reason. A much more logical one than yours.

Form counts for nothing at Anfield. If you've watched football over the last 20 years you would know that.

They could play with Karius in nets, Lovren and Skrtel in defence, John Joe Shelvy in midfield and Benteke up front and still give us a game.

There are very few places like Anfield. Can we win? Of course we can. But it will require us to be at 100% and them to have an off day. If we win there it will be HUGE.

Madrid put 5 past them at Anfield, Leeds won there this season etc

As good as any other season to break these **** runs, last time it was away to Sp**s now these guys

Anfield non-wins results this season:

CP draw
Brighton draw
Leeds lost
Chelsea draw

Pretty impressive really. Especially when you think of 7-0 against United and 9-0 against Bournemouth. It really is a fortress.

But then that's in sharp contrast to losing against Forest and Wolves away.

We don't need 3 points at the Etihad. We need not to lose. I 100% agree with the idea of adapting and throwing our principles out for 1 game to get the result we need. We need 2 results. A draw or a win. We should play that way. Not trying to fight fire with fire. But playing smart.

Who do City have the biggest problems against? Teams like Sp**s who sit compact, defend well and break fast. With about 28% possession. We need to look at that because player for player we aren't as good as City. Wenger used to try to play Barca and Bayern at their own game only to get tanked over the 2 legs. We need to play smarter.
It's a very similar situation to the Sp**s away game last yr where we didn't need to win but just draw.

I think we win 3-1 if Partey is fit. They are very ordinary in midfield can’t see him and Ode not doing well and can’t see TAA not getting dismantled by Martinelli

Of course there is a psychological aspect to traveling to Anfield, but its not the driving factor for the result there next week. The quality of the team, the ability to execute plans consistently play more of a role and will play more of a role when we go there.

Its why we were able to go to Sp**s and beat them at their ground, despite the "tradition" of the home team always winning. Its because we are better in quality, we have better tactics and the execution thereof.

The crowd will get behind their team of course trying to create that intimidating atmosphere to affect our concentration levels. And if Liverpool get that needed advantage they could run away with the win. But it will be much harder for them to do so in the current technical state they are in, playing against this Arsenal team,

We are favourites at Anfield next week, no doubt about it.

I think 6 wins (90 points) should be enough even if we lose to city.

I don't see city winning 10 PL games in a row (along with 4 in a row now will make it 14) despite them doing it before and that was 4 years ago tbf
They will lose 1 and draw 1 somewhere and it will result in 89 points.

Sp**s away has nothing on Anfield away.

Nothing you have said above changes that with almost every bookie worldwide Liverpool are favourites in the match (albiet slight ones).

Hopefully playing Chelsea away before us makes the difference and that Anfield crowd are flat at the weekend.

What were the bookies saying before the beginning of this season about Arsenal? That's why they are bookies and not coaches and tacticians who actually influence the game played.

There is a psychological and betting aspect to the fixture no doubt. But the game will be won on the field, by the quality of the team and tactics on the day.

If we execute our plans properly and largely nullify theirs, we will win. Forget what the bookies think.

Think we should be smashing Liverpool tbh. I don't care about Anfield they looked horrific vs City and they're playing Chelsea midweek.

I feel if we win our next 3 games, we probably win the league.
