It's really hard to compete against City. What an incredible team. They never seem to drop points. But it's still nice to dream. If we win the next 5 games, I'll feel confident going to the City game.

We ****ed ourselves a bit tho, if we could've even got one win from West Ham/Fulham we'd have been a good position, if we'd have gotten 4 or what we should've 6 points we'd been in a superb position as we've got winnable games up until we go to the Etihad ourselves. I felt at the time those were games you can't be losing, especially back to back if you want to be champions.

We've got to do something special in the coming months to get it down to the wire again.

The thing is you cannot win every game. You have to be near perfect to beat this City team to a title and even then they seem to be able to elevate themselves higher.

Whilst they’re around yes we can do what we can but we also require them to have a little bit of bad luck somewhere.

We have to continue winning and see how it goes because man city and Liverpool won't be dropping lot of points

We can't win every game but they way we picked up 4 out of 15 points in that period is well below par for a team hoping to be champions, no team has ever went on a run like that and ended up champions. It's doubly more devastating against a side like City.

Didn't City just have a very similar run of poor results before ours?

I don't think they had a run of 4 points from 5 games. The more important point is they'll not have a poor run anyway like that for the remainder of the season. Our poor run has put us in a spot where we're chasing City at this stage of the season which historically is not what you want to be doing. The results have meant we now need to be as close to perfect as we can be for most of the remainder of the season, tough ask.

That just assumes City will be close to perfect for the rest of the season. Maybe I'm being foolishly naive but they do not have the same aura about them as they did last season when they were eating teams for breakfast in the run-in.

I think KDB and Haaland alone wins them plenty of points, without those two I'd agree, but they're killers even if City are below par. It'll be interesting to see, Manchester Derby at home, Bournemouth away and Liverpool away all coming up soon, I doubt even they get 9 points from that. Straight away that Brighton away and then we go to the Etihad. Maybe that's the period where they could falter and we could take advantage.

Yup. If we can go on some crazy winning run now, that will recover the 2 losses to Fulham & West Ham.

We should have learnt lessons from last season. We will see how big these players balls really are now.

If we keep the gap very close & beat City, its gonna so exciting !

Knowing Teta we will drop the ball & lose to Sheffield Utd & Luton 🤣😭

No you’re probably right that’s a little too much in terms of negative results. We now need to make up for that.

I think just before the palace game I said we now need 15 wins from 18 games to even stand a chance. Make that 11 from 14.

There’s absolutely 11 winnable games in our run. 11 more wins and don’t lose to City.

We have Sp**s, Utd, City, Brighton, Wolves away who are the toughies.

Brighton should be fairly simple, we can afford to lose and draw in the United/Sp**s games. The city one is the big one, must not lose it.

We have a serious chance, my favourites are still Liverpool as they’ll also be getting guys like Salah back very soon. Also remember City have got to go to Anfield on the 10th of March. We have 4 winnable league games between now and then.

Psychologically at this stage last season we were so insanely excited and anxious, over excited in fact. And this is just about when Saliba got injured last time as well.

This time it’s very different, all of a sudden I’m not thinking oh god only 14 games to go hope we don’t bottle it. I’m thinking we look very solid, we don’t look like we’re overly anxious/excited and we have a genuinely massive shot.
