Brighton should be fairly simple, we can afford to lose and draw in the United/Sp**s games. The city one is the big one, must not lose it.

We have a serious chance, my favourites are still Liverpool as they’ll also be getting guys like Salah back very soon. Also remember City have got to go to Anfield on the 10th of March. We have 4 winnable league games between now and then.

Psychologically at this stage last season we were so insanely excited and anxious, over excited in fact. And this is just about when Saliba got injured last time as well.

This time it’s very different, all of a sudden I’m not thinking oh god only 14 games to go hope we don’t bottle it. I’m thinking we look very solid, we don’t look like we’re overly anxious/excited and we have a genuinely massive shot.
Sp**s away is a few days before a potential CL SF, 2nd leg a few days before Old Trafford. A lot of things need to happen for this to be an issue but I wonder how much rotation Arteta would go for in that scenario?

Good question, and hopefully a question that Timber and Partey will be able to answer for us.

Arteta will probably wait as long as possible on those two, we have winnable games in front of us. I’d rather a 110% Partey and Timber in April than a 80% Timber and Partey just to have them right now.

I never expect us to win at Sp**s away, honestly if we get to that stage and have won the required games I don’t care about that result (as bad as it sounds). Especially if we have a CL semi.

Just the thought of the fixtures you said makes me anxious 😂

Excited for the business end of the season. I feel like we’re different gravy compared to last season, the team looks more up for it mentally , physically and tactically. The pressure was on last 2 games but they removed any doubts that I had. Even fancy this team to get a result at the Etihad.

In my mind I’ve completely written TP5 off for the entire season. That way, in the unlikely event he comes back it’s a nice bonus.

I think 11 wins out of our last 14 games could do it, giving us 85 points minimum. Whether we can get there is the question.

Look at the subs we brought on at the weekend. Now look at the subs Man City brought on. For that reason alone, not getting any more excited or hopeful for the title even after that record result and great performance against the ammers.

Trossard is a great signing btw.
Tbf City have no injuries at the moment so have their whole squad available, if all goes well we are due back all of our players by the end of February besides Partey. Relative to the starting team against West Ham, that gives us a bench of Jesus, Tomiyasu, Timber, ESR, Zinchenko, Nelson, Jorginho, Ramsdale, Viera and Nketiah which, although it can be improved, is quite decent for the run in and no worse than Liverpool's bench options.

Tbf, we were missing 7 first team players while City has almost everyone back I believe.

Lol. Zinchenko again missing games, Jesus and Tomi unreliable as well.

We can't have players like this being so important for us. ESR's fitness is quite the issue as well.

Vieira was back in training pictures in Dubai but for some reason is a long term absentee and God knows what Partey is up to.

We need to get to the City game in good shape, so the next games from here on are going to be important for us to be at our best. Liverpool fans are creaming at the idea of us falling apart at the Etihad, that's the only hope they have left at stopping us because they cant do it themselves.

We need to keep fit for this run and respect every opponent that comes. We have the versatility to change our game enough get the results we need.

We are in this race, but its very tight.

If we manage to get past Burnley, Newcastle, Sheffield, Brentford & Chelsea with all points accounted for, we've got a phenomenal chance.

Not sure whether I've done this correctly, but I've looked at the fixtures we have left and compared them to corresponding fixtures from last year. I replaced Burnley with Leicester, Luton with Southampton and Sheffield Utd with Leeds.

We've dropped points vs. Newcastle at home, Brentford at home, City away, Southampton at home and United away. We beat the rest, yielding 30 points from the last 14 games. It's a massive task to replicate that..

I said our performance and result vs West Ham would tell us a lot about where this team is going for the rest of the season and it really looks like we're up for a big, big push for our remaining games. The key is getting our depth back as we're really down to bare bones in terms of availability. The positive is it sounds like we're expecting a lot of players back by the start of March.

We have done well at rectifying mistakes from games we dropped points in last season. So this bodes well.

However it’ll still take a monumental effort to win the league. 11 wins needed and no loss to City at the Etihad.

Burnley (A), Newcastle (H), Sheffield United (A), Chelsea (H), Luton (H), Everton (H), Wolves (A), Brighton (A), Villa (H), Bournemouth (H), Brentford (H)

City (A), United (A), Sp**s (A).

Whilst we more than likely drop points in the first block of fixtures, I’d still expect to win most of those games? We are a better team than every team I’ve just listed except City.

We simply must win them all and at least draw at the Etihad; anything less, any dropped points and it’s over because City are a juggernaut.

In a football match anything can happen, the players, 90 minutes, fantastic moves, an element of luck, talent, courage, and touch of magic and, for those who are watching these men play, the search for excitement, for a memory, for a lesson in life.
