I think the current team (and manager) does have a little bit of bottling about it, tbh.

Have 3 years of evidence so far, it's not just one season.

You can't draw away to City and then lose to a Villa team you are better than at home and get that outplayed, without it being about pressure.

Proper teams get it over the line when they have an advantage, we only had 7 games left.

Honestly an unforgivable mistake by Mikel to give Villa an open game. Rice was tired after Bayern. You can't play him alone at the 6, with Kai leaving spaces and ALSO Zinchenko leaving spaces and being a total liability.

What was that all about ? Did he think we were playing Sheffield ? The defense was already shaky against Bayern and you think it will help to play Kai and Zinchenko against a teams that love transition.

You need to be pragmatic at this time of the season. Players are tired, you need to keep it tight and physical. Play Partey with Rice, Kai at 9, Kiwior so we have size.

Such a rookie mistake when you have a full squad available.

In 1998 we won 10 games in a row at the end of the season to win the league, 2002 we won our last 13...2004 was a little different as it wasn't really a race as we were so dominant, but we still won 12 amd drew 3 in a run that gave United and Chelsea no chance in catching us.

It wouldn't be as bad if we picked up a few cups to numb the league pain, but we lose to an own goal against a Liverpool B team.

The word hurts, but it's a little true.

I dont think we can get past City so now we need to win the Champions League. If we dont the manager should fúck off.
Arteta still definitely deserves another season. However if he doesn't win one of the big two next year, we may have to consider being ruthless and get in touch with Xabi Alonso

You should be the Arsenal manager. Perfect tactics👌

It's mad that we have lost our first game of 24 and the conversation of bottling it is already on.

It's terrible having to compete with this City, who can rotate the whole squad without any problem
Sure, but Arteta made the decision to extend/ sign Partey, Tomiyasu, ESR, Nelson, Nketiah, Elneny and Nketiah. His squad management is poor, these players come in lukewarm and contribute nothing. Saka, Rice, Ødegaard look absolutely dead on their feet because they play every single game.

Did you really need OPTA to point out we haven't got a f*cking prayer?

Bayern takes on a new dimension for the team and us as supporters.

We need to go to Munich and secure progression. That would bring back the belief in this team that they are good enough to go the distance.

This team is good enough this season, and I think it’s important we show this.
Yep. We beat Bayern and make it to the Semis and that level of belief and momentum will absolutely put a fire in the belly for the whole squad for the rest of the league games.

May still not be enough, but as long as we don’t let this loss spiral us down the road of torrid performances and more dropped points like this team has done two seasons in a row, I will be happy and proud of the squad. One loss isn’t going to change that, so for the time being I am remaining somewhat skeptical due to what history has shown me, but also giving the team the positivity they deserve for the time being.

Poor performance. But it was always a long shot to win all of our remaining games.

There are still 6 games left. And even though 115 FC thrive in situations like these, we have to get back to winning ways and keep the pressure on. Starting with Bayern and then Wolves.

Give that corrupt Dubai wealth fund they call a football club no room for error!

Absolutely nothing to say he would do better than Arteta. PL with Klopp and Guardiola much harder to win. Inter won it very recently under Conte anyway. Arsenal's last win in 2004. Getting Arsenal to win a PL is a much tougher ask than winning Serie A with Inter.

Serie A post-Juventus monopoly is a yo-yo league. Napoli won it last season and are back to midtable this season.
