Man City fixtures before they face Arsenal at the Emirates on October 8th (Sunday).

Red Star Belgrade - Etihad
Nottingham Forrest - Etihad
Newcastle - St James Park (Carabao Cup)
Wolves - Molinuex
RB Leipzig - Away
Arsenal - Emirates

All I see are wins and vs Leipzig/Red Star Belgrade they can rotate heavily.

Whereas for us before we face City

Everton - Goodison Park
PSV - Emirates
North London Derby - Emirates
Brentford Away - Carabao Cup
Bournemouth Away
RC Lens Away
Man City - Emirates

Much more difficult, difficult away games with Goodison Park, Brentford Away, RC Lens (even though they lost Fofana/Openda), PSV (we're horrific at the Emirates in both League/Europe with Arteta) and the most difficult game at the Emirates with Man City.
The run up to the City game is interesting. This week is huge and I’d say 9 points is really crucial. We already have 3 from Everton and despite the absolute sweetness of breaking our Goodison spell, I feel that we need to find our feet even more in order to win the next two. Yes we dominated Everton and yes we definitely had chances to put a couple more behind them. But I still feel we’re static and not at all as smooth as last year, especially as long it was 0-0.

If we’re to win vs PSV and especially Sp**s I think we need to click into gear, but on the flip side, if we do then we’re likely coming into the City game with a whole different level of confidence and ability. I’d also say the City game is absolutely crucial to match them ability wise and also not lose. If we don’t do that I think the title is theirs already.

For Carabao Mikel needs to rotate. It’s a difficult game against a good opponent but we can’t focus on that competition if we want to compete in PL and CL. Need to see the likes of ESR, Jorginho, Kiwior, Nelson and Tomi start that together with the players that have the least minutes in the two upcoming games.

I agree with everything except for the title being over with a loss. Whilst potentially being 5 points adrift is a dreary thought, the season is still very young.

It is, but I just feel losing at home vs City is the one thing we can’t afford to do. You have to remember they were a bit shaky up to the WC last year and I doubt they will be this year.

This guy is the worst. Always wants to be the center of attention. He was the referee last year Soton away where he didn't give a 100% penalty for Jesus. Also gave Saka a yellow the same game for simulation where he was clearly kicked.
Yeah he was total ****, i remember thinking he was the worst on field referree we had last yr. Wouldnt give us a foul, that northern england attitude that london teams are soft and violent fouls are just part of the game. He also seemed to want to make the game about him.

This guy had a poor game for Burnley-Nottingham Forest last night…
He’s back.

They’ve been building him up as the new Howard Webb. This is his baptism.

Simple terms, more positive means more goal scoring chances created than conceded. More negative means more chances conceded than chances created.

City have adapted to Haaland, and can operate without De Bruyne. Danger.

Chelsea’s underlying metrics also shows that they are doing the right things, just not finishing those things.

It’s good to see Chelsea and Man U collapsing early on and Newcastle struggling. I know we are meant to be title contenders but years of chasing top 4 have made me more prudent. Too many rivals now so it’s good to see them doing badly.

Top 6 getting CL would be interesting, Brighton won’t have a better chance but may have to sacrifice Europa at some point
