Last year people said the same thing. City were in the FA Cup and CL, we only had PL left the last few months..

Then again. Those Thursday nights for Liverpool are tough for the weekend.
Difference was the City Squad was outrageous, you had Mahrez, Alveraz, Foden etc on the bench. This Liverpool side is already getting stretched and they don't have the quality of City

No, it’ll be too big of a strain on police resources to have a big derby on the same day as a semi-final at Wembley.

I mean, outrageous excuse if they give that given we have weekends where United play Liverpool and Arsenal play Sp**s…

Especially if @jones is in town

My sources are reporting that Suella Braverman’s security detail is being upgraded from a police escort to the 42nd battalion of the Royal Marines in anticipation of @jones arrival. The 2nd squadron of the RAF is on standby for air support. And Lindsay Hoyle has determined that no matters at all will be debated in Parliament for the duration of his stay out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our elected representatives.

They wouldn’t take place at the same time as an FAC SF though.

That’s not the point. Police forces are regional in this country. You could in theory have an Fa cup final policed by the Met and Liverpool vs ManU at the same time policed by whatever moniker the poor bastards that police the scousers go by

Arsenal vs Sp**s wouldn’t take place at the same time as a big game at Wembley 10 miles away. Hope this helps.

Essays are my thing
In general, can people remember any team that got away with over-performing over the course of a full season? We were perhaps a little in that category last year and fell towards the end. Leicester is perhaps the only example that I can think of?

Us + Liverpool in 2014 was perhaps in the same category and ultimately fell?
Us in 2008?

Can't remember beyond 2000, apologies!

I know the question is a little vague, but I hope that people will follow.
We were clearly the best team that year, but lost so many key players to injury, and the psychological damage of successive serious career threatening injuries to bad tackles really damaged the team. Not helped by Gallas melting down and picking fights with Kolo of course....

I cannot believe how shocking some of these teams in the league are.

Look at Liverpools team today man. Forest are ABYSMAL. If Liverpool get through this period of injuries without dropping any points then it’s curtains.
