I dont think this season will be as straightforward as slot running away with the league in his first season but not gonna lie a 7 points gap would've left me feeling a lot more optomistic had city managed a draw. I fully expect a different guardiola side to rock up to our home and it will take a hell of an effort to beat them. From the highlights it Looks like Liverpool only needed to rock up at anfield to get 3 points against them. They may have the kind of season where everything goes their way and then drop off next year especially if salah leaves. Im hoping we can stay injury free and go on an all time great run. I think we are better than liverpool but they just need to keep riding their momentum and luck this season.

Hard to see under scrutiny if he keep us competing the club will keep supporting him. He'll lose ownership trust when the players stop believing in him

Why is it that people cannot except that we're well past the stage of "competing"?

We should be winning trophies with the massive expenditure of the last half-decade.

Sadly, that would require according some responsibility towards Tets but, miraculously enough, he always has promptly drafted excuses for him to choose from.

"City's too powerful" or "PGMOL are destroying the game" are stsples for why we could only compete & not win.

Now, City are in dire straits, yet Slot, in a matter of months, has shown him up & is on course to win the title in his first season, effectively making a mockery of the garbage that was force-fed this club.

I had written off our title chances after the draw against Chelsea, but the points comparison to last season thread made me do a 180 on my perspective.

I would recommend those who are doubtful have a look as it becomes more meaningful as the weeks go on.

Still, I feel like we’re already at a point where 1 loss is detrimental and desperately hoping for rivals to slip up. A bit early for that need for everything to be perfect for us.

Let's play Aubamawang

Has 8 Cats 🐈
Notts Forest (7th) home ✅
Sporting (2nd) away ✅
West Ham (14th) away ✅
Man U (12th) home
Fulham (10th) away
Monaco (3rd) home
Everton (15th) home
Palace (cup) home
Palace (18th) away

3/9, we go again.
It's Nottm Forest btw. They don't like being called Notts lol.

This defeatism pisses me off. There are 25 games to go, FGS
There are, but not only do we need Liverpool to drop 9 points, we also need to win every game and beat them on GD. I would be more confident in the latter if we stopped switching off in games. It we did, Salah wouldn't have a free goal regardless of who was left on the pitch by then.

I am not worried about Liverpool collapsing but us not being anywhere near them to capitalize it.

Must win next 10 matches. Hopefully Liverpool drop points in at least two games starting with the midweek against NUFC.

13 games out of 38 games and some have given up. That's kind of weird, isn't it? That's 25 more games to play with lots of twists and turns along the way. Unless of course if we think that all other teams are just **** and will just roll over (doubt that). Just one loss for Liverpool and the narrative changes immediately.

Yeah, momentum is good to have but it's not everything. I thought our 22/23 season would have taught us a great lesson by now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see City up there fighting it out to go top in the final few weeks.
You don’t win the title in December but you can certainly lose it.

That’s our worry.

We essentially need to win 3 more games than they do between now and the end of the season.

In 25 games that really isn’t an impossible task, especially considering the fixtures we’ve already played.

Arsenal Quotes

The only moment of possible happiness is the present. The past gives regrets. And future uncertainties. Man quickly realised this and created religion. It forgives him what he has done wrong in the past and tells him not to worry about the future, as you will go to paradise.
