Funnily enough there was a point after I wrote that post where I looked at the fixtures and thought you know what I think we might do it.

Then Saka got injured.

Anyway we were **** in the league this year. Bin the excuses, AT NO POINT in the league this season have we put a run together worthy of winners. I’ve heard it all about referees and injuries and whatever man we just weren’t good enough.

I mean, it has no relation to our terrible squad managing at the summer or the lack of reinforcements in winter. Surely Arteta is free of responsibility for not rotating enough.

Let's see if UCL can save this disastrous season in PL where we bottled every chance to short the distance with Liverpool. They never were pressured by us and now we have to play against them already crown.

Weird calling it **** whilst we are comfortably 2nd but you are right. Results aside it's been horrendous to watch and a missed opportunity overall.

Btw, Arteta is the top 3 most paid manager in football world, he better win something because it's not justified a rookie that has won nothing but one FA cup wins that much.

For me this is Arsenal season of injuries. So many injuries to so many important players.
You can't expect much from season when 6 of your players have surgery (Saka, Havertz, White, Gabriel, G. Jesus and Tomiyasu).
Ødegaard was out 2 and a half months, and his form fell off a cliff after this injury.
Saka and Havertz have been overplayed, for the rest of injured players it was bad luck.

Season has been finished late December, January when Saka was injured, then G. Jesus started play well and then he suffered ACL injury.
And club decided to be inactive on market in January.

Root of this bad season has been very bad summer window, when they bought Merino (who was injured first month and who seems like good buy now), Calafiori (so far bad, but I wouldn't dismiss him yet) and 2 disaster loans (cup tied Neto and washed Sterling, these 2 were final Edu's gift to the club).
Therefore squad has been left incomplete (especially in attack) and this is why Arteta didn't rotate as much as he should have (Saka and Havertz played too much).

The club was without DoF 5 months, I think this also played certain part why club was inactive in January.
It blocked club's action in market, I guess nobody wanted to take responsibility and actually do something then.
Of course it would help had we played with more courage, taking more risks, but I think all these injuries were main factor which destroyed our season.
