Premier League 2024/25: The Race For ?

This is mental but if we win the next four games we'll be 5 points ahead of our points tally last season at the half way mark.

Irrelevant when you've 2 teams ahead of you points-wise & with better attacking options on the field/off the bench.

This will be remembered by gooners everywhere as a WORSE capitulation than the season Leicester won the title because, with City brought low, we've allowed Pool & f*cking Chelsea to steal a march on us!!

I hope Tets sleeps every night with a sense of forboding because he really has no reason to think he's above reproach anymore.

Yeah poor us. Our big summer signing in defence was injury prone. How could we have known

You are a wonder to me, brother.

Your hot takes are of mythic status & you don't drink from Tets corrupting Kool-Aid.

Would that most gooners on here let the veil slip from their eyes too, then my life wouldn't be so difficult

Best save it for a winner. This guy's cut from the same cloth as that loser, Pochettino. A nearly man.
Harsh words. Mind you I never once believed in the pochettino hype. I do think Artrts has a bit more to him. I honestly hope he does because we will become the laughing stock of the top sides if we fail to capitalize on the fall of the other traditional big teams.

Like with Wenger's later years, we will only get to look honestly at this period once it's done.

There have been mistakes made over the last five years no doubt, but overall we have become one of the best teams in the world in my opinion. When I watch us play, especially when we are in top gear, we are up there with the best like City, like Inter, like Leverkusen.

I think to dismiss this because of no trophies and second place finishes is not honest analysis I feel.

But, I will say that it needs to be capped with trophies. And not any trophies, we need the Premier League AND Champions League before this squad starts to decline.

As for Arteta, I dont think he stays beyond his current extension. And wherever he goes, I think he'll continue to do well.

Not even 5 years into a potentially 20+ year managerial career btw. Arteta probably goes to Barcelona next and wins a ton of trophies.

Don't forget klopp managed ONE premier League trophy in 9 years.

Klopp was elite with Liverpool, as much as we do not not want to admit it.

Even though he only won 1 PL in 9 years, he went toe to toe with the best ever for those 9 years. That in its own is an achievement.

You put peak Klopp Liverpool in this league, and he is 10 points clear right now.

That's the strength of competing with Guardiola, its near impossible once he has all the tools at his disposal.

That's why it would obviously be poor if anyone besides us and City win it this season. Because during those Liverpool years it was just City, anyone else would've been Liverpool.

I still believe once this group have a big trophy they go and win lots of them. However, despite my gut feeling being we'd win it this year, that has changed.

My gut feeling now is we don't do it this year either (had the same feeling last season) I don't think the football gods are on our side and I'll be honest I think this is probably the best opportunity with City falling off a cliff.

Going toe to toe with the best isn't an achievement for Klopp if Arsenal fans are using it as a stick to beat Arteta with.

Perhaps we can still separate the two?

Klopp went above 90 points and finished second on multiple occasions. Surely that's better than what Arteta has done and thus we can praise one and criticise the other?

He won't because he will NEVER have the obscene amount of power he's ammassed here, nor will he have patrons with the patience & distance of the Kroenkes.

His team will be remembered for being difficult to beat but quite easy to predict.

Oh he will get the same power elsewhere, he'll amass that sort of authority by just winning big quickly.

Imagine he gets the Barca job for example, it will be within his ability to win La Liga in his first season and then get access to a budget to bring in top quality players. Same idea for PSG and I'd say Bayern as well.

What you need to understand my bro, is that as much as you dont like the guy, he still is a very good manager. If you put your feelings aside for a moment, you will see this.

We are not just "hard to beat" and "predictable otherwise". We are a very good team, that has the ability to be even better if the manager allows us to be.

I think Klopp has done a great job, don't get me wrong. Arteta is competing for the highest honours too for the last two years, let's see where that leads us in May. Don't see too many reasons to criticize him at the moment.

He's created a title challenging squad with £652M spent, what on earth are you on about?

You also do realise we aren't privvy to what goes on within the club day to day? Do you think billionaires are stupid? Do you think that they'd willingly give Arteta a bit of power without seeing what he's done day to day?

In fact do you (and many others) not see what he's done from the outside? Do you think your expectations, which is to win a league title just suddenly occured overnight? That happened because Arteta changed everything within the club to breed that mentality.

It takes a lot for one man to come into a billion pound organisation and do that when he's never managed before, hence why KSE have given him "power". You also don't sack a manager after an 89 point season where you miss out on the final day. Everything so far has been justified and we now must wait until this seasons over to figure out what should be done.

It brings a tear to my eyes watching such exceptional talent reach Aboucuellar levels of word count.

I am immensely proud to say that I am the manager who has won the most FA Cups, and MY Arsenal are the club to lift it the most.
