Get it in perspective though.. Prior to our loss today, we had 4 wins in a row when no other epl team had the last two results as W.
On the flip side, our football can look impotent.. Used to say that city and pool always looked great going forward, but it isn't the case for them either nowadays.. Data has made huge changes in tactics for epl, nba etc, but at the expense of the spectacle / enjoyment..
The last sentence is such a valid point. I have found myself bored out of my mind more often than not watching Prem football this season. Awful, awful stuff. Micromanaged within an inch of their life, all managers on their feet screaming orders for 90 minutes. It's disgusting. And our manager is probably the worst for it. Sick of it

I’ve calmed down a bit now.., it might be clarity or it could be this Château Duceu Beaucaillou I’ve been sipping this last hour.

We could afford a loss in the run in, inclusive of losing to City; we’ve got Ødegaard, Saka, Calafiori and Timber to come back.

Let’s get through Sporting and see what happens next week; no pressure against City because everyone expects us to lose.

I went out for running. Still struggling to shake this performance off but you are right.

We just have to hope that we show up for reminder of the season. Even with a loss against City there is still all to play for. So its far from over. But we need the players to step up and the coaching staff to find solutions to help the players.

What a bleak day, feeling pretty low right now have to admit. Any optimists here that could give me some reasonable reason for optimism?

We'll see but against Sporting we had Ode and there was serious lack of quality in final 3rd.

Have to hope Eze Ode and even Saka to really stay fit we look absolutely horrible without them
That’s my point, Ødegaard IS NOT ENOUGH, to play as 10. Did I explain myself wrong?

No you right this team doesn't seem capable of progressing the ball without a 10. But if you can't do it just go direct
They can’t, how are you going to make this team direct? Only way to make those radical changes is with a new manager ala ManU. That’s the most recent example of how a different manager can get things better. Even tho they are not a great team but at least they are much better than before.

I said it last season, Arteta did his job lifting the team but he is not a elite winner manger just like Pochetinno. We need someone like Luis Enrique if we want to climb that last step Arteta is always afraid to do because he is afraid of falling.

It shouldn't need new manager but Arteta stubborn man if we go direct today we would at least escape this Bournemouth press and maybe get them in back foot but arteta unnecessary keep telling Raya to kick it short

Sorry but our fans are a bunch of Beta males. Was at the game, some people are moving like they don’t deserve a ****ing PL trophy.

I don’t get what their fascination is about jeering us to take throws faster even in the first half. We’re barely holding the ball for like 2 seconds and it starts. You’d think it’s rival fans complaining about time wasting in stoppage time.

I think it’s weak just getting rid of your anger + nerves at the detriment of the atmosphere and team.

Be better. Spoilt pussies.
by this logic so are the players and manger right

I'll try my best...

City - Chelsea, Burnley, Everton, Bournemouth (A)

I think City don't play the game in hand Vs Palace until mid may.

The Burnley and Bournemouth games for City both get moved if they make the FA cup final.

Even if they win against us and win both games in hand, they still only go level on points. It's a lot of work for them (we know they're capable but still)

At the end of the day I still don't believe City get max points in the run in. I think they drop points twice, and if they win the league off of 79/80/81 points Sheesh.

I sign you a document that Arteta won’t change our football. We will see some sparks due to individual talents but the tactics will be always negative just like Simeone but without trophies.

The moment we bring someone like Luis Enrique is the moment we have a chance. Even Mourinho tries to attack with quick and lethal counterattacks. This MF just wants the team to pass the ball around slowly and avoid playing through the middle because it’s risky.

This was the exact same performance as when we played Brighton except we didn’t get a lucky goal and they were far more critical than Brighton. Today we were thoroughly outclassed. This wasn’t like our loss vs Southampton where everyone says we played like **** but we actually were pretty decent. We were absolutely ****ing awful today. We have 2 levels of bad performances: Bad performances where the team can get the ball to the final 3rd but our forwards and midfielders can’t capitalize on our chances or cant execute that final ball, and bad performances where we literally can’t get out our own half. This one was most definitely the latter and this type is so much more worrying than the first.

We also going to play teams just raise the level against us.

Newcastle with Howe always trouble mikel then you have Westham who fighting for every point and Fulham.

Our performance recently is awful i honestly can't see us picking many points

Teams have always raised levels because they're playing for professional pride, if nothing else.

This is one excuse I've always hated & never had time for because it is used by weak teams (which, admittedly, we are on a mental level).

**** it, I’m gonna choose to have hope. Wtf is the point otherwise? To say “i told you so”? **** that, maybe something good can happen. Maybe somebody will come out the cryo chamber ready to step up. We’ll acknowledge the changes needed in the dressing room and the managerial / leadership team after the fat lady sings. For now, there’s still a ****ing chance.

If we win nothing this season, myself and the Hawk are calling that the same thing as finishing 7th...as from pre Carabao Cup final, it is just as embarrassing as finishing 7th.

We back bro @Sapient Hawk 💪

It's stunning that we saw this coming so far back that we were mocked for it.

Admittedly, I knew we wouldn't end up in 7th but I never genuinely believed we'd win the title with this craven buffoon in charge.

Losing the title from here will have unprecedented consequences. We'll basically have to rebuild the team, players won't' be able to mentally come back from this and our reputation will be unrecoverable. Sell MLS and Nwaneri and it's over.

The most scary thing is Arteta would still be here

This will simply signal that the club's owners are what we've always believed them to be, Corporate vultures lacking in ambition & delighted to milk the club while the loser in charge maintains a steady ship so that the dividends keep rolling in.

It's a lot easier to predict failure and it's also easier to deal with it mentally and then say I told you so.

The fact still remains we are in control of where the title goes with 6 games remaining.

Arsenal Quotes

I still have an interest in training and development, in the stages that make it possible for players first to acquire technique (between 7 and 12) and then to develop physically (between 12 and 16), then to deepen their mental resilience (between 17 and 19) and finally between 19 and 22 to acquire what is critical, like the roof of a house without which all the rest rots away: intelligence and motivation
