Yep yep yep. x1000. Used to be a guy on a podcast I used to listen to that used to say these games are just bragging rights, not where the titles won and lost.

We’ve had decent records vs Big 6 last couple of seasons and look what happened?

But in anycase, you’ll always end up beating a few.

Exactly, come May who will really care if we secure bragging rights when we lift the trophy. That’s all that matters at this stage.

I think we’ll all be too busy celebrating than analysing why we didn’t secure more points against the big 6 or why we’re not playing more fluid.

Can you really call yourself the champion if you fail to beat the reigning champion?
What does this even mean? There's 19 other teams and 38 games played over several months.

You're telling me if we come out on top after that because we drew to Liverpool at home and Sboz had a worldie FK at Anfield we wouldn't deserve it?

Honestly this place gets wild after dropped points.

We have blown two huge opportunities to win big game this season

Chelsea 60 minutes 10 men
Depleted Liverpool at home with no strikers

The Forrest and Leeds away games this month are gonna be huge. I’m still skeptical about this team away from home

context : this table after we visit a lot tough place away game (including bournemouth)

Why would you not want to win the remaining big games though? Without them 88 points is the max we can get, that's assuming we're perfect against every other side.

The title winning blueprint has always really been consistently beat the smaller teams and avoid losses to the rivals. I’m not thrilled with our performance yesterday but with City and Villa also drawing we have essentially just written off a match against the previous season’s champions while 6 points ahead of the nearest title rival. Not a bad thing, there’s obviously nuance with their injuries etc but if someone offered us the chance earlier in the season to just remove the match day that we play Liverpool with no points implications we would have taken it

We've got Forest, Leeds away, these teams are battling relegation so they're not gimmes. Brentford are flying right now, Brighton away is always tricky. These are not easy games and the pressure would be on us to get maximum points. Big game or small, at the end of the day 3 points is 3 points. Beating United, Chelsea at home would go a long way in making our lives easier against those lesser sides.

These are our fixtures up until we play City at the Etihad:

Forest (A)
United (H)
Leeds (A)

Sunderland (H)
Brentford (A)
Sp**s (A)
Chelsea (H)

Brighton (A)
Everton (H)
Wolves (A)
Bournemouth (H)

Most of these teams are food. I've bolded the 'tougher' fixtures but we should be winning 8 of these imo

i want to say something

every big six club will so struggle against bournemouth away, that place really really tough

why really tough ?? because bournemouth can attack opponent in every area like setpiece, crossing, shooting inside & outside box also their style very direct and so dangerous in counter attack even they rarely get conceded from open play at their home

to defend lead in that place & get 3 points then your team need proper fullback, cb, gk and dm

that is why so far only arsenal (among big 6) who get 3 points in that place while Sp**s lose & chelsea draw

Agreed. They don't exactly inspire confidence & that's before you know all it takes is a serious chance fluffed by the opposition to get them all jittery.

i did not realize before, only need 1 draw + 1 lose that will make mancity only get 89 points for maximum points and we still have a lot games (17 games left) with city still have many tough away fixture

Our fixture list is still more favourable over the next month, while Man Citys schedule is brutal. They'll have to go through those games without Gvardiol and Dias. There are many more twists and turns in this story.

If they make it through that month with wins, we can say theyre back to their best.

Who gives a **** about “winning certain games”? I don’t care if we beat Utd, Liverpool or whoever, it’s still the same points you rack up and it’ll only really matter if it’s a direct rival you’re competing with in the title race. All I care about is securing the league which should be the prime concern of all the Arsenal fans, not none of this weak league BS or we haven’t beaten x, y or z in the Big 6.

This video sums it up:

I love how that guy had like 4 different accents throughout that vid, he had to go through them to get his point across .

Title race isnt about a couple of disappointing results. They will happen. Its about how we pick ourselves up and get going again.

Its ok to be unhappy about the performance but lets not lose sight on the bigger picture. We can do this!

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
