Title race isnt about a couple of disappointing results. They will happen. Its about how we pick ourselves up and get going again.

Its ok to be unhappy about the performance but lets not lose sight on the bigger picture. We can do this!
Never though I'd see the day when you became one of my favourite posters on this board. Life is remarkable. I love it.

This season, everytime we've dropped points, we've won the next game.
This is a very important point because all title winning teams have the odd blip in the season.

The concern and our issue used to lie in  periods of a drop off in results (ahem city this season), those are much harder to recover from and leave little margin for error come the business end of the season.

Also important to note that was with an elite city breathing down our neck, this is an entirely different situation.

I think if we had managed to get at least a draw at anfield we would've been braver in the 2nd half the other day. Liverpool gained more confidence as the match went on and we went into our shell afraid of the current champions doing the double over us.

As much as im dissapointed with our display I somewhat understand the psychology of it all. We could've played a really good 2nd half without putting the ball in the net and get done by a sucker punch/jammy goal..they almost did it in the first half with that crossbar shot and teams tend to only need half a chance to score a goal against us.

A loss would've been really damaging and not just psychologically. With a 5 point lead the table could turn in 2 games but now city need us to drop 3 games unless they improve their goal difference..which brings me to my next point..if we lose the league by goal difference I will probably end myself so can we please start being more clinical and spank some team like 5-0 soon?

I would give Gyokeres the rest of january and if no improvement then Jesus has to be our starter for the run in.

I would say our most impressive performances this season have been newcastle away, athletico, bayern munich and Sp**s. We also played really good football against forest at home. Eze played in all those games and scored our first hat trick in god knows how long and lets not even get into the quality of the goals!

I know we had a good 2nd half at home against villa with Ødegaard but i expected us to be too much for them at home after what happened at villa park and especially with their injuries/suspensions. However, lets not forget it still took onana coming off injured for us to really take control of the game in the 2nd half. The point is we've done well but not convinced with Ødegaard being a nailed on starter and arteta's handling of eze in the last few weeks despite us getting results and Ødegaard scoring a goal the other day. I mean Ødegaard had as bad a 2nd half against liverpool as eze is likely to produce this season..I suppose he looks abit busier on the field which counts for something i guess.

I second the desire for some 5-0 spankings. We could use a couple games with lower stress levels

The only thing we’ll never know is if we would have hit 90 points in a close fought title race vs one where we have a clear gap on 2nd.

I remember people on here being sure Liverpool wouldn’t have won as many games as they did if they hadn’t pulled away so early.

On paper we handled City being close well but on the pitch and performance wise there were a few of our guys who looked to be feeling the pressure (it didn’t help that Gabi XL was out).

A nice low pressure PL win this season would be the perfect way to prepare us for the next seasons where things won’t be as straightforward.
Agree. Get the Monkey off the back by hook or crook. I would also expect next season to be a close ran title

I don't think A-M is ready for the propaganda I'm gonna push if/when we win the league

I'm putting Timber in Cafu conversations, Zubimendi>Pirlo and Trossard the greatest Belgian winger the EPL has ever seen, and no one can stop me.

A high number of own goals just signifies that you are dominant. The pressure we put teams under is immense and law of averages means we will get OGs.
The general public and fans of other clubs are just obtuse when it comes to Arsenal. I suppose it’s the only way they can cope.

Other phrases in their lexicon are ‘Arsenal are a dire watch’, ‘Set piece FC’ , ‘Bottlers FC’. No one cared when our players used to pick up leg break after leg break and we used to be called soft for not getting on with it. Wenger’s teams tried to play football in an era where it was acceptable to hack Arsenal down with impunity. Cry me a ****ing river now you clowns.
