Which player do you want to see lift the trophy the most?
Probably Saka for obvious reasons. This project really started with him carrying the team as a teenager. Rice would probably be the next one. He could have had an easy run to silverware at City but came to us to compete with them instead and has become one of our best and most consistent players as well as a real leader.

I was thinking about how for the first time Ødegaard looks like he’ll have a hard time coming back into the team and whether it will feel bittersweet for him to lift the trophy first if he doesn’t have a solid second half to the season. That’s why I posed the question.

It is also important to have nice point advantage over City before go to Emptyhad, even if we go there with 5 points gap and in worst case scenario we lose there, 2 points will bring us to some nervy ****ing finish in last 5 games.

He was POTS in 23/24 when we got 89 points and just missed out on the title so I don't think he'll care one bit.

Everyone in the world thinks this match is a nailed-on loss for us, but i honestly think we don't lose.

All the pressure is on them to beat us. We will stay solid and keep a clean sheet, and perhaps get one on the counter. Martinelli has to start for us this match.

you really love him don't you? fairplay.
Nothing like that, he's been here for the long time (apart from Saka but including Arteta playing days he's the longest)
I used to rate him from everton days. Then signing for us after that 8-2 and then becoming our captain, breaking the trophy drought etc brought an attachment. Still remember his farewell speech and he's back as manager to fulfill what he said then. He completely deserves it

Gabriel + Saliba for sure (lowest conceded goals for three seasons in a row) they both deserve it. Saka is definitely in there too after the tough period with England, missing out on top 4 etc.

Surprisingly, I’d also throw Trossard in there tbh. I think his impact this season has been so good and he’s always come up with clutch goals since signing from Brighton. I remember when we signed him, there was talk of him being a bad apple and trouble but he’s been one of our best signings. You can tell how much of an impact he’s had when rival fans who usually chat rubbish about our players wax lyrical about him. Massive bullet dodged signing him and Chelsea picking up Mudryk.

Then Gabriel third

They won't sit in an ugly low block like they did at the Emirates

And we would have beaten them last season if PGMOL weren't so obviously corrupt (fraudulent red card then the ten minutes extra time added when the ball had been in play the most out of any half of football that season. I honestly don't know why we didn't sue about the latter)

If Liverpool beat them tomorrow as expected, only a total capitulation from us stands between us and the title.

Otherwise, City would have to win ALL the remaining matches. That’s extremely unlikely as I don’t believe they mentally in it. Too late to switch it on. They seem exhausted to cover the defense with goals like previous seasons. Both 22/23 and 23/24, they just outscored teams outside top 6. I believe they had the worst head2head in top 6 mini table or second worst.

I expect at best they could win 10 and draw 3, that would give them 80 points. Then, we would just need 8 wins and one draw out of the remaining 13 to clinch it 81 points. However, I think we will have four draws, one loss, and 8 wins in those 13 to get to 84 points. This is considering cup competition rotations and tirednesses. But even then, 84 points will easily get us the title.

Tomorrow is a HUGE day for us. 🤲🏼.

Would love to win that one via a late corner just to piss them off if they are still within touching distance
