Remember it is a marathon not a sprint. The trick is not to get carried away in either direction. If we are winning games and doing well you get shouts of we are winning the treble....without conceding more than 6 goals. We draw or lose a single game and suddenly we are out of the title race.

We are in great position but reckon it will be tight. Our main priority is to keep our players fit.
I know, i just get overly emotional when it comes to this club, I don't just support arsenal, it is an intrinsic part of me and how I grew up, i can't explain it words properly, I just wan't to see us lift the title again and so does everyone i know, we are just waiting to return to the summit and to become the champions again, i believe that day is coming soon, i feel it will happen this season.

What's the logic behind this?
We ain't dropping points to the Spuddies, not at ours anyway. They have won twice since we opened the stadium. Once in a Mickey mouse cup, and once fair play they came from behind to win. But other than that we have smashed them most of the times, or drawn a few.

I think I may have replied to the wrong post.

As @Gooner Zig says, the players have taken the result as a loss and should be raring to go in the next game to put this right. Hopefully will give them even more motivation to put in a big performance against Sp**s.
It won't be needed, Sp**s always **** the bed when they come here.

As long as Richarlison the donkey plays, they won't score many or any. He's too busy falling over or looking like Koopa from Mario Bros.

I would 100% sign up for this criticism had we had even one of our senior attacking options available. The players emptied the tank to get to 2-1 and then then mentality shifted to lean on our defensive prowess to see out the game as we didn't have the requisite energy levels to keep proving for a killer third goal. This is what I meant about context; the players gave it everything but ultimately we were undone by a defensive lapse between our CB and GK. This is a little bit results / outcome based analysis, had we held on for the win, we would be widely heaping flowers on the team and coaching staff. We sat back because we were gassed and sitting back does not take up a lot of energy (physically at least).

Outside of Nørgaard and defenders, what other subs could we have made to get more on the front foot? Nwaneri? Dowman? One of them is a child, the other still isn't at the level physically for this type of game. To your last point about the media - I'm struggling to understand what relevance this has?
I don't want to keep going over this. I've mentioned MLS as well as Nørgaard. Despite playing primarily at LB, MLS has attacking impetus and can do well in midfield. Maybe a sub of one FB. We have very competent defenders and just some energy may have made the difference to push back more even if we couldn't get the third goal. Of course things would have been different had we won but we didn't and praise for being stoic is what we've had before minus all the points. Don't underestimate the pressure sitting back takes mentally and constant duels as we repelled attacks also takes a physical toll. For context, I think we had enough in the squad to win. We had enough to defend a slender lead. I'm not asking you to agree and I am entitled to my view which you are not going to change. As for the media point, it's all quiet now because of the interlull. The pressure will ramp up in 10 days and until this team proves otherwise, it has struggled to cope when things get tough. I want as little pressure on them as possible atm and two extra points and a grinding win would have alleviated it. I see everything from an Arsenal perspective and whilst the players gave everything, it's okay to acknowledge disappointment that it wasn't enough.

My cope is Newcastle always raise their game against top 6 teams.
Especially at home plus Eddie is under a wee bit of pressure. They'll raise their game for sure.

Thankfully Pope's injury was just a concussion and they/we won't need to rely on Ramsdale in goal

Ramsdale is class, only reason he didn't make it here was concentration issues but in a one off game he can make game winning saves for sure.

Im not superstitious but an ex Arsenal GK putting in the performance of his life to help out Arsenal is the type of script that the premier league enjoys

the last time wolves relegated finished 20th in 03/04 at the same time arsenal won the league, in this season there is big chance history will repeats itself

Form those thinking "Man City is a poor team and depends only on Haaland". Guardiola Is figuring a new system and now is working. The guy is innovative, Arteta needs Pep to invent something to copy him. I sostein if Arteta doesn't solve the lethargic and slow attacking system we don't win lmthe league with just corners. We won't cut through parked buses every match this way.

Arsenal Quotes

The English codified the rules of football just as the French perfected wine. We don't often ask an English person to come over to make Bordeaux.
