FWIW Arsenal Vision pod had Adam Clery (Adam Clery Football Channel) on as a guest today and he was pretty optimistic about Arsenal's title chances. Basically thinks we will comfortably win the league unless we have some catastrophic injury crisis.

Form those thinking "Man City is a poor team and depends only on Haaland". Guardiola Is figuring a new system and now is working. The guy is innovative, Arteta needs Pep to invent something to copy him. I sostein if Arteta doesn't solve the lethargic and slow attacking system we don't win lmthe league with just corners. We won't cut through parked buses every match this way.

Man City already have 3 losses and its only GW11. They have had a bunch of games this season where they've been poor.

Like Liverpool, I'll judge how 'back' Man City are by their results and performances in away games this season. All teams near the top of the league should win the majority of their home games, but it's their ability eek out 3 points consistently away from home that really sets title challengers from league winners.

I expected City to beat Liverpool at The Etihad, although admittedly I did expect a bit of a better fight from Liverpool. The bigger test for City in my eyes will be to follow that up next game at St James Park, then next away game away to Fulham, then next away game away to Palace. These are the games that are true tests of potential league winners.

That's the same for us by the way, I expect to beat the likes of Sp**s and Brentford coming up at home, but the Chelsea and Villa games will be tests. If we at least match City's points total over the next month or so, we will be in a good place given the difficulty of our upcoming fixtures.

This is a massive concern though. We’ve had a perpetual injury crisis since the start of last season.

I’m praying this massive batch of players come back with no setbacks.

We're due for a bit of injury luck ffs. I totally get your point, we won't win anything if our entire attack is missing for long stretches of the season. I don't think we'll see that again this season - insanely unfortunate.

The perfect scenario is our forwards come back after this intl break and they *stay* back, no more setbacks and from then on, our injuries are just the normal injuries you would expect to see throughout the course of the season.

Unless things change we are going to struggle in the title race. City are having Liverpool style luck with injuries, whilst we are having our usual battle.

Havertz
Gyokeres
Madueke
Ødegaard
Jesus
Martinelli
Gabriel
Calafiori (apparently)

Vs

Kovacic

Need our luck to change and fast. Praying at least 1 or 2 are back for Sp**s, but not holding my breath.

Madueke was very close to being available on the bench for Sunderland.

Rice and Saka no need to start today, TT if he starts either makes no sense.

England need to look at options squad wise.

So cuz I'm a massive nerd I went on the PL website and looked at every season from 24/25 all the way back to 16/17 and looked at the eventual Champion, what position they were, how many points they had accrued, and how many losses the eventual Champion had suffered at that point.

Every single eventual Champion had only suffered 1-2 losses at most (after 10 games played) throughout that 9 year period. Liverpool and City have suffered 3 and 4 losses respectively already, it's really not looking good for them based on past history.
Why only to 16/17 that's only 8 seasons...not a huge sample space.

It's 9 bloody seasons, more than enough of a sample size.

That's as far as the PL website goes back in terms of giving you a table by each game week. If it makes you feel better I saw another site which does all PL history and I could find only one instance of > 2 losses at GW10 and that team going on to be champion.

Sorry if I came out as disrespectful to your research bro, it's just the Arsenal PTSD. Needed more reassurance, that does make me feel better.

These injuries need to stop or they will ruin the season. Feels like we'd win the league comfortably with good luck on that front but right now we are having disastrous luck instead.

Starting to feel like the club should really investigate why we are getting so many. Hire someone external to look into it or something idk. Like are we doing something wrong on the fitness front or what.

I knew it, we always pick up injuries to our key players during crucial times

we can't even blame it on injury prone players like Rosicky or Tomiyasu

Injuries are a part of football. Now more than ever with the amount of games played.

These players are human. The body can only take so much.

We are a deep team though.

We should be fine.

We aren't going to win **** if our players keep getting injured at the rate they have been thus far this season.
