Premier League 22/23: Gameweek 33 (April 25-27)

To be fair it’s his first season with 90% of players who were here from previous regimes.
Do you see Emery getting embarrassed virtually every time he goes away from home with a team he inherited that was near the relegation zone? ETH spent plenty of money in the summer and ran his mouth even more. He's done a pathetic job. Were it not for the fact that Liverpool took half a season to wake up and Chelsea are a shambles, he'd be occupying Ole's usual EL spot.

The commentator during their game with Newcastle said that we're the only ones who've been in the top flight longer.

How did he come to that conclusion?
He was refering to "consecutive" seasons. We have an unbroken run since 1919, but Everton has been in the top flight longer than us measured in total seasons. They got relegated sometime in the 1950s, which broke their consecutive run.

I hope that made sense

The UK government was putting pressure on the Premier League for the takeover to go through.

Absolute shambles.
Yeah really too late now unless UK force them to sell but it could damage the relationship with middle east. I'd be surprised if there another state owned club look like most pl clubs trying to block it.

If we ever see them again, it'll be too soon.

Hopefully, Everton go along for the ride. Goodison has never been a kind stadium to us. Getting rid of both it & St. Mary's is a welcome reprieve.
Two teams I will love to see relegated. Especially Everton will be so sweet! The Ginger Mourinho and that club! Will just absolutely love it!!! ❤️💯

It’ll happen again. Government will let them in every time

If the FA tries to act up they’re going to get sued into the dirt by an army of lawyers hired by an entire country.

In five years most of the league will be owned by nation states. This is just the beginning.

What happens when China wants a piece of the Premier League. The west views the UAE, Qatar and the Saudis as strategic allies, while China is seen as a strategic adversary. What happens when a 'Chinese company' bids £6bn+ for a top Premier League club?

That will 100% be blocked for exactly what you laid out there. Some new rule will be made overnight, or they will cite "security concerns" like with Huawei and TicTock.

Think we have the longest continuous streak in the top flight. Second most seasons in the top flight overall. Think Everton have more total seasons.

Rather Arabs than the whole premier league owned by Americans and playing pl games in the states. The Arabs is the only people holding from complete American take over of the league

You comparing Arteta 2020 squad to ETH 250M squad? 💀 of course he'd reach top 4 it'll be embarrassing not to

Did Teta reach the CL in 20/21 or 21/22? No, he did not. You dont always have to defend the bottlers honour, he is not your boyfriend.

ETH is showing that you dont need more than 3 years to reach the top 4.

You better wait a bit with this prediction partner. It’s not looking too good for them and top 4, even with 200m spent.

Fraud watch will be starting soon for this guy I reckon.
