Is this true?

Only saw the first half, but it was clear bournemouth will lose this game. The spaces they allowed Haaland to run in to like he is an average PL striker is just mind blowing. When you face a world class striker, you make a game plan to shut him down and not to play to his strengths.

What the hell was Iraola thinking?

Yeah but we aren’t going to score a set piece every time we need to break down a mid block are we?

Although…

Palace (h) was the only league game where I felt like we were bailed out by a set piece. Fulham (a) we created a lot in open play and should have won by more goals. Newcastle we created enough to win 3/4-1, West Ham we scored 2 and should have scored more.

We're definitely better at these aggressive mid blocks

Yeah and I’d also add we’re really some distance away imo from the final form of this team.

Eze and Ødegaard haven’t had a chance to build ANY chemistry yet. Saka is a way away from what he’s capable of. And Gyokeres is still getting used to things and improving game by game.

There’s still levels in this team.

this is stupidity idiotic tactic from iraola its clear he did for purpose, even hansi flick who master with highline tactic never did this in big match because flick highline still with structure

while iraola put all their player in mancity area, so how bournemouth player can make offside trap,

nah man, its clear iraola did this idiotic tactic for purpose to lose

compare to picture when bournemouth play at emirates last season

At the same time though we’re yet to prove we can consistently break down a mid-block
Hence why I said YET

I don’t disagree with this, but I’m going to wait for it to play out first, the rest of the league will as well.

If we look like the mid block is no longer a major obstacle for us then teams will have to come up with a new way to try and get a result against us.

It’s fair, I did not see Wirtz flopping this hard ibr. Although I think he’s being mis used by Slot as well.

Doesn’t mean Cherki has been amazing either though lmao, that’s a low bar right there.

Spot on.

Are you going to take me seriously again?

Not really intended to be anything other than something to satisfy my curiosity but here's how we stand in a league with the Arsenal, City and Liverpool of the last few seasons, by GW10

The issue I have is the block of games coming for us vs the block of games coming for City and especially Liverpool, and this is during the congested period.

ARSENAL
TOT che BRE avl WOL eve BHA AVL bou

LIVERPOOL
NFO whm SUN lee BHA tot WOL LEE ful

MAN CITY
new LEE ful SUN cry WHM nfo sun CHE

For me, this block of games, from now until the early parts of January will decide if we win the league or not. It's crunch time.

N'Diaye as usual with him a cracking goal.

Still can't get over people giving me sh*t for rating N'Diaye and warning us to sign him in the summer.

Looks good. Have you gotten over people giving you **** for rating Holding and Ramsdale, or have you decided to keep it to your selective viewing.

I love Eze, but honestly, if I had the choice between him and Ndiaye, I probably would've picked Ndiaye. These moments of magic he has in him, you don't see very often these days.

Sunderland strike me as another team who will play really open vs City and Liverpool and get battered

Sunderland will be in a mid-low block vs us next week. No chance they're this open.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal was firmly embedded in the local community and had a very solid, working-class foundations. The fans espoused the club's values. This visceral attachment, from childhood, to a club and a team is something I have never seen anywhere else with such fervour. Every fan's first match at Highbury was like a baptism.
