I just don't understand the Cole Palmer PR train

Article on BBC Sport "'Unstoppable at his best' - is Palmer in World Cup picture after hat trick?"

He scored two penalties in that 'hat trick' and they were his first away goals since September lol

I think it’s a modern football disease in general, not just Palmer. Over rating, putting on a pedestal, “is he the best ever in the PL” etc. Two good games and “he’s worth 80M you know”. The same media will then bring you down.

I think it helps he’s not black and wearing a big chain, otherwise the media would be more damning. Look at the narrative around Rashford, who by all accounts is a good guy and a model pro.

The Liverpool City game is 50/50. All week people been talking like it’s forgone conclusion Liverpool is gonna win. Even their fans are too confident, but City battered them once already this season and can easily win here

I think it will be a draw, pressure is on both teams, and Slot will set up not to lose, like he did against us
City haven't won many games at Anfield, even when they were the best team in the country

with the run United are on Pool can’t afford to lose, especially since they’re away at Sunderland next, but neither can City, so I’m going with 2-2.

I fancy Pool to win, City defence is Wenger esque these days. Newcastle should have scored 5 at Etihad.

But I am hoping for a draw. League is done for me, so I hope Pool don't make the CL and with that huge wage bill they will suffer. Past it Salah, injury prone Isak. Want them to crash and burn and can't rebuild. Ekitike itching to leave after 2 years to us.

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
