Yep it’s hard to tell I guess, we’ve seen so many of the fashionable high performing managers from mid table sides venture up to managing teams like Sp**s Chelsea etc and in many cases it doesn’t work out.

Bigger the club the bigger the expectations, and the egos of the dressing room.

Its why I always chuckle when people want to jump on these coaches. Last year it was Irola and now Glasner.

Just saw Palhinha was at fault on the rebound for the conceded goal, maybe that's why he took his shirt off.

Some games you're just inevitably forced to be the protagonist.

I've been saying it. Frank's not a bad coach by any means but he's not exactly an inspiring one either. I think a lot of people mistankenly assume that doing decently well with very little at a small club always translates to doing great when moving to a bigger club with more resources.
Exactly. AM loves Glasner and Iraola now and both are definitely fantastic managers. They could end up like this as well though.

Yep in reality there’s not many managers out there who aren’t a big gamble. Its why I find the complaining on here about Arteta (over the years) silly and generally have had a ‘be careful what you wish for’ or ‘the grass isn’t always greener mentality’ towards switching Arteta.

Would one of these managers be able to replicate or in fact go the extra mile? Many would take us backwards.

The grass is literally greener though, even Ten Hag has outperformed Arteta. It's just a big gamble because of sunk cost fallacy

What phase is Glasner in btw?
We just discussed on the last page the fascination with mid table managers and how they quite often struggle once they’re in bigger clubs with more expectations.

I think the only mid-lower table manager who looks interesting is Iraola for me - I reckon he can scale it up as he has deep tactical acumen. I think Glasner’s style suits an underdog club.

Laughing at the Sesko goal today 😂 he literally got 3 chances in the space of 5 seconds to get his 1st United goal. Lucky boy.

Today ended up almost as perfect a day as could be regarding rival results. Other than City, everyone lost and Sp**s drew. Absolutely have to make the most of it this time around, last season we f*cked it away every single time Liverpool dropped points. This time around we need to show ourselves and the whole world that we aren't mugs when it comes to mentality.
When MUST win tomorrow, no excuses.

Arsenal Quotes

I don't want the will to educate to be opposed by the will to win. That makes the educator sound like an idiot.
Any manager's approach must be to educate. One of the beauties of our job is the power to influence the course of a man's life in a positive way.
You and me have been lucky enough to meet people who believed in us and led us forward.
The streets are full of talented people but who didn't have the luck of finding someone who placed faith in them. I can be the one that facilitates life, that gives an opportunity
