Arsenal host the Geordies in the final home match of the season. Arsenal can guarantee 2nd with a win. Team news Merino is suspended and Havertz is a doubt. Also of course Gabriel and jesus are out .The referee is Simon Hooper.

Always admired Newcastle as a club but why are their fans trying to start a rivalry with us ?? We couldn't give 2 ****s about those northern ogres
Every club try to rival with us because our social media fanbase is unbearable. We just honestly don't care they located very north of England more chances they'll be rivals with Celtic than a club from London. Also there no bad blood historically between both clubs.

Just social media fans being edgy

They have a long standing rivalry with United tbf, it’s just that United are so **** rn they’re better placed to rival Sunderland than Newcastle.

We have only won 4 trophies since we moved stadiums in 2006 and have a very vocal social media presence for some reason, that added to us being a massive club means we are an easy target for fans of non big 6 clubs to go at (no point going after Sp**s, they are pointless) since we don't have much recent stuff to back up our arguments to rebuff them.

If we were winning stuff regularly, no chance these smaller clubs fans bases would be doing anything... that's how you stop them going after you as a big team, without that success they will always be after you.

If Newcastle had the same season they just had, and it was our 2004 Arsenal season...they would be VERY quiet in convos with us.

Yes but not quite hated rivalry I think Leeds can't stand utd.

Idk to be honest, anywhere north of Barnet and I just check out completely. I’d be surprised if at least older Geordie fans who went through the Keegan Ferguson era wouldn’t hate them with a passion. The younger social media lot yeah maybe not.

What did he say? Its clear the manager and players feel let down
We were let down in the January window for sure, the fans, the players and the manager. We blew away a golden opportunity of winning the CL for the first time ever. Probably going back to the summer, we were let down as well. But I put less emphasis on that as I believe that was a collective gamble from the higher ups and Arteta.

However, in January he was absolutely desperate for signings and for the first time ever made it clear in the media, as did Rice. Can tell they're all collectively disappointed, just like the fans.

Absolutely cannot take these risks again. Need an actual attack next season with proper depth.

I have sneaky feeling Arteta might resign if he doesn’t get the quality he needs. How would he be able to motivate the team if proper signings don’t come?

He has been crying for attacking signings for awhile now.
Next season it's his last chance but if they don't bring good players then I have zero hopes with this ownership. They made good start getting very good and experienced DOF got Zubi deal done so hopefully they continue

The only cope I have for the ownership is that they knew Edu was going and they wanted to keep the powder dry for the new DoF.

It’s tenuous but it’s something…

2 and both in the same game vs West Ham (A)
who was the ref that day? I doubt it was Oliver
My god this is just awful. I'm totally sure Liverpool have like more than 10
Premier League - Penalties received they got 9, actually, but they are still top of the chart.
Wolves is at the bottom with 0 penalties
Just for comparison, from 10th place (City) to the 15th place have 3 penalties, Bournemouth is 2nd with 7 penalty kicks.
any statisticians here that can break down which referee has given the most penalty kicks for everyone and who gave Pool most of their pen?
"the team that spend their time in the opponent penalty box got more penalty kick? it's obvious why" some Pool fans on youtube comment section
