First Premier League game in almost a month…

Would play Dowman and Mosquera just because of the lack of injury cover ahead the defining week of our season.

A result here ratchets up the pressure on City for Sunday.

Leaving here with something @A_G

I’m just happy I couldn’t watch this match. When I checked my phone and saw we lost I actually chuckled because I expected us to drop points. Just like I fully expect us to lose to City and hand them the league. We’ve seen this movie before and it’s up to Mikel and his bums to prove us wrong. Signs are pointing the wrong way yet again.

Intelligence is underrated. Mikel has focus, drive and discipline and built a physical hardworking team, things the fans thought were key, but thats missing

Watching the first goal again and boy is that poor defending from MLS. Yes the deflection plays part. But if it wasn’t deflected it would have still gone to Kroupi and he ran past mls.

Shearer and Murphy is absolutely spot on on our analysis.

-Refusal to feed our strikers
-Refusal to cross first time, preference to pass it sideways and around to give time for Bournemouth to sit back in into a deep block from a mid block in transition. (main reason why we face deep blocks because of our horizontalness)
-When we finally cross or pass it long, it's way over hit and gives no chance for our attackers.

We always wonder why we seldom score counters or take advantage of high lines, because our midfielders actually can't pass it well through the middle to set our attackers free. It's often only Gyokeres up front and both wingers are tasked to defend instead of position themselves high up for counters like other teams.

People think we will exploit Barcelona's high line if we face them, but so many times teams play high and press high we can't even get hold of the ball and get out of our half.

Yeah this fantasy people have about us being the only team that has ever faced low blocks somehow doesn't factor in how often we let teams get set because we refuse to play forward. Yesterday Dixon was aghast at how long we took to take a throw in when we had a numerical advantage and we just let them recover while White took an age to make a decision.

So many things wrong right now and the first goal given up in this match showed it all.

Zubi lost focus because he previously passed the ball to White out of bounds. He was so emotional about the mistake, that he was basically chastising himself during the next play, lost focus, and let his man then get into open space to receive the ball that would eventually be the through ball.

Madueke completely lost his man in the wide area by ball watching instead of transitioning to a defensive role in that moment. He was marking nobody. Just was not accountable.

White allowed a through ball to go right by him on the inside. He was flat footed and cognitively slow (all day). He should take the through ball away and allow the outside pass which is less of a threat. Bad decision.

Saliba lunges on the cross because he is playing reactionary and tips the ball up to the back post.

MLS quits marking his man. Just quits. His player continues to back post and scores.

It was the most mistakes on a single play that I have seen all season by Arsenal and it started because Zubi was so stressed out because of single wayward pass.

They need to play football like it’s a street match. They are not relaxed at all. 100 percent mental mistakes.

I remember in 2002 -2003 season... we lost the league and there were interviews where Wenger said that the players after the season mentioned that it felt too much pressure from Wenger and that it affected them.
What happened next season? Invincibles... in not comparing both teams but it feels like Arteta needs to find a way to lower that pressure... by trusting his players. It feels like he doesn't trust them and that can play on anybody's mind.
He is a walking contradiction, he doesn’t trust players but at the same time he nevers rotates the starting 11 until injuries because he only trust in 11-12 players. This causing 11 players get in red zone super early in the season and the rest of the squad goes full out of form so when they go in it’s a disastrous game.

Arteta is very poor in many aspects due to his cautious and coward mentality.

Chelsea parked the bus today, I counter 6 back lined during long periods and city yet won it 3-0. This is over boys.

Poor defending from Madueke, he left his man overlap White like he was so tired in 95th min. The goal was created in that space, from that moment whole defense was compromised.

Has Mikel given an update on Timber, Cala, Ødegaard, and Saka? We need them back like right ****ing now.
Ødegaard? The guy who loves back passing? Saka is super out of form and Timber is giving us nothing at attacking, indeed he is one of the weaklings we had in our flat and boring football.

They're still way better than the guys we're having to put out let's be real.

Ødegaard is not better than Eze and Saka is not better than Dowman in his current form. Timber is better than White defensively but offensively not. And CalamityFiori you can’t count with this guy more than 3 games in a row without injuring.

Lol

Ødegaard is not replacing Eze, it's Zubimendi who's in shocking form right now that will be replaced by Ødegaard. We don't concede the opening goal vs Bournemouth with Timber/Saka on the RHS. As for your comment about Dowman being better than Saka, lol okay buddy

As usual you just post waffle.

Nah Timber is much more important for us, even offensively. He’s vital for dragging us up the pitch when we’re under pressure
