Premier League – Matchday Thread

📅 Sunday, March 1, 2026
🏟 Emirates Stadium
⏰ Kick-off: 4:30pm GMT

Recent Meetings

  • Earlier this season (Stamford Bridge): Chelsea 1–1 Arsenal
  • 2024/25 at the Emirates: Arsenal 1–0 Chelsea
  • Arsenal also knocked Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup semi-finals recently (4–2 on aggregate), adding another layer to this rivalry heading into Sunday.

What’s On The Line For Arsenal?

This isn’t just another London derby.

Arsenal are firmly in the Premier League title race and looking to secure their first league crown in years. With key rivals breathing down their necks, dropping points at home — especially against a traditional rival — could tighten things quickly.

A win would:
  • Maintain or extend their advantage at the top
  • Keep pressure firmly on chasing rivals
  • Reinforce Emirates dominance during the business end of the season
  • Send another psychological message after eliminating Chelsea from the League Cup

🔥 Key Talking Points

  • Can Arsenal assert control early and dictate tempo?
  • Will Chelsea play spoiler in the title race?
  • How decisive will home advantage be?
  • Does recent head-to-head momentum favour the Gunners?

Unchanged line up vs Sp**s; 2-0 to The Arsenal

It’s funny because I rate that game the worst result of the season. 60 minutes against 10 men and unable to win. Even the Wolves result is not worse imo
Wolves result is the worst.
Because it shifted the momentum.
Before Wolves, City had to rely on someone else to take points from us.
Wolves did it, and City now has everything in their hands.
Arsenal also has everything in their hands, but they had it before.
Therefore, the momentum has shifted.

Not to mention 2 goals up against the bottom and worst offensive team in the league. It's should be undisputed our worst result of the season so far

The Shed End is pathetic man, their entire Burnley thread was 19 pages. Our 19th page was still people waiting for the team news to drop.
Quality over quantity no? Anyway they seem more up for this one than us who’s still celebrating a win over the worst Sp**s team in decades

What the Chelsea team news? Im reading Cucu and Estevao won't be available right?

However James and Palmer will likely be available these guys usually dont play at Emirates.

Im sick of facing Chelsea this will 4th time this season ffs

Chelsea fans think otherwise. They’re starting to notice that Arteta does black magic lol

@Trilly CB realising what some on here have been saying for time 🤣🤣🤣

No cocu, fofana or Colwill. 3 of their 4 best defenders
It'll be interesting how they approach this i guess Palmer RW and Enzo Caicedo and Santos in midfield. No Cucu is good Saka ankles will be safe.

Arsenal Quotes

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
