We will be called bottlers until we win big trophies and that will be the narrative until then. We as a fanbase need to get used to that and stop being so reactionary on every idiot pundit opinion out there.

But just for the record we are indeed bottlers so far in Arteta's tenure. I love this team and back him as a manager, but it's a fact.
22/23 we were on top for 90% of the time and threw the league in the end after 3 horrible results
23/24 we bottled the league against Arteta's kryptonite, Aston Villa and Emery.

Idk man I just can't call 22/23 a bottle job given how young and inexperienced the squad was. Losing Saliba AND Tomi when we did was a hammer blow too. I meant giving it Rob Holding till the rest of the bloody season ffs.

23/24 as well - we went 16-1-1, how is that a bottle job? At no point did we ever have any large lead at the top of the table.

I'm 99.9% sure infactions a minute or 2 before the goal scoring opportunity aren't meant to have VAR used on them. Probably every goal has an infaction 5 minutes beforehand so where do you draw the line?
saka look like offside, so line man made mistake but situation like that happened a lot times

only agree with you when 23/24 season

we are not bottled in that season because we lose against villa at matcweek 33 & before that match we are top of the league with only 1 pts difference with mancity

I don't think it's fair to classify 22/23 as a bottle job either, I don't think we were ever more than 5 points above City when adjusting for games played. I know we were like 8 points clear at one stage but that was with 2 games in hand IIRC. No one expected Arsenal to challenge, top 4 was our goal and we surprised even ourselves. On top of that, we had a ridiculously thin squad.

It’s absolute bullshit the narrative. We did not bottle any of them.

Arsenal Quotes

I still have an interest in training and development, in the stages that make it possible for players first to acquire technique (between 7 and 12) and then to develop physically (between 12 and 16), then to deepen their mental resilience (between 17 and 19) and finally between 19 and 22 to acquire what is critical, like the roof of a house without which all the rest rots away: intelligence and motivation
