United’s physical game and Gyokeres lack of movement is a major concern. He played his worse match against United. If we start him ( or Ødegaard), we play right into their hands. Need to show something different.
He had no preseason

Something up with Havertz. The fact he kept getting set back, and then he returns but we are still ultra careful with his minutes…

I guess they would be targeting Kairat for a start for him? I hope…
Let's be honest we're not exactly missing him.

Would be great if one of Hincapie / Cala is available. Timber at LB is pretty 'meh'. Although I wouldn't mind it if it means Eze on LW.
I’d go a step further and say Timber at LB is terrible to see 😂 going forward I mean. Defensively he will always be solid.

The guy struggles at RB as it is in terms of the final third. On his wrong side makes it tenfold.

United counts on opportunities to get stuck in and counter. They are physical. Three ball handlers up top and a more physical presence pulling the strings. This lineup nullifies United’s strengths, but so does a good referee.

As usual, don’t really care as long as we win. 3-1 Arsenal.

No Eze or Ødegaard? I would go with Ødegaard at 10 and Eze on the left.

The fact that we are playing at home against United and your first is to pick a team to nullify them is hilarious. We are the team top of the league and at home

We’ve set up this season to play Cala left back and he’s a huge miss. When Timber and MLS came in to the team they look amazing and it was because the tactics were adjusted to suit them, and we need to start doing that sooner rather than later.

MLS was exceptional when inverted and Timber looked great when more defensive. It’s been our weakness and I think nullifying our own weaknesses is what we need to be doing.

Personally I’d love to see MLS inverting alongside Zubi and push Rice further up

I hate that lot, we have to beat them.

Guess we‘ll see a more conservative line up with Rice and Ødegaard back in midfield, Gyo up front and Trossard/Saka on the wings. Hopefully the game will be a bit more open, I don‘t want to witmess yet another low block borefest.

Up the Arse!

Looking forward to the TV coverage stuck on SAF's bloated face for the majority of the match questioning whether or not he agrees with every single pass/free kick/set piece/substitution that United make.

Playing against a low blocks is so annoying. The whole match is our defenders passing the ball around. Saliba and Gabriel will each have 200 passes completed with 99% accuracy and Raya will get a solid 88 minutes worth of screen time on his mobile phone.

At least you then get Ben White at right back though.

Not sure they fit the expected intensity and physicality of this match better than Merino. If United play a low block, maybe Eze at 10.

I don’t see where Ødegaard works. We don’t want to slowly cycle the ball. If we get a 2 goal lead, then he works.

Cup final, we need to beat this lot at any cost. I will never forgive them for ending our unbeaten run. Carrick will play same old thuggery, they have always been very physical against us.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
