I thought it was an excellent game between two really good teams. A match of very high quality, and it’s not been very often in my villa supporting life I’ve been able to say that about a game we’re involved in.

I wouldn’t have complained with a draw, I think that may have been a fair result on the balance of things, but I won’t pretend I didn’t enjoy that winner. It was absolute bedlam in the stands.

As always good luck for the rest of the season. I still think you guys will win the league (and I actually think it will be comfortable) and I’ll be happy to see it.

One thing that had to be said - we miss Timber as our RB.

Honestly he is too good and crucial there, Benny did ok but Timber makes that position so vital to our play.

It's very undermined how important it is that Timber goes back to RB as soon as possible.

I don’t quite understand why White doesn’t come in as CB.

Missed the game cause I had one myself. How were we? Deserved loss or unlucky? Anyone with a summary would be appreciated!

I prefer not to check social media, don't want to get mentally ill.

But you just did 🤷🤦‍♂️

People are disappointed as they are seeing another title chase slipping, it's like a deja vu for 4 years in a row now. The forum gives them a place where they can express it.
Again I don't believe somone is joyful seeing us lose.
Top post. No Arsenal fan is joyful at seeing us lose except in the imaginations of the paranoid.

There are two types of supporters those who don’t care what the football’s like because all they care about is winning, and those like myself who enjoy the entertainment of the beautiful game and want to see some swagger and style in their team.

The former were probably p!ssed yesterday. But although I’ve been critical of Arteta’s midfield sideways passing without much action in the opposition box, yesterday wasn’t like that. Both teams went flat out in end to end combat. It was unfortunate that we lost in final minutes, but as a footballing spectacle it was top entertainment, both going for it 100%. Proud of Arteta and the lads.

Nosferatunai is always possessed when playing us, fnn ***, but fair play, you were better yesterday with clearer chances and dominated in final 10-15 minutes.

I took the pain to watch the highlights via the Flashcore app, and I must say this commentator did a fantastic job in commentary. Pure passion and is fully immersed into the dynamics of match. Who is he?

I would love for us to have someone like that, instead of the very dry and monotonous, uninterested voice of Aliadiere and others. I am surprised how no one from the club don't look up on the quality of matchday commentary.

Haha that’s a guy called Mark Regan. He’s very good. I hadn’t actually seen that yet so thank you. I don’t often watch the club tv highlights.

For years we had a guy called Jack Woodward who has gone down as a bit of a club legend, but he wasn’t particularly good. So we’ve improved on that front!

Due to him putting him out of position for his beloved Ødegaard. Think deeper boy!
Yep that is why he passed straight to an opponent.. and could track a runner for the goal.. he is a 68 million signing, playing from the left like he did in Crystal Palace, where is out of position?

The above link is the running xG of the game - we had actually created the better chances right up until the last 30 seconds, that goal mouth scramble added like 1.2 xG to Villa's total. They deserved their win but a 1-1 draw would have also been fair and I still maintain that we did not deserve to lose that game.

This is a much better way of showing things instead of just the final xg stat

Effort was there in the match especially after halftime subs. Surprised we didn’t win by 2 or 3.

As always, we need to finish our chances.

Confident we win the league because eventually we will get some luck.
