Brentford, AKA the bees, have shown both spunk and balls since claiming their place in the first league of English football.
Won’t be an easy one this, Clifton
Those days are gone. Fear of the unknown not there. Found out and not anywhere near us. Mbeuemo can cause nasty surprises but keep discipline and all good.

Come on man. Simeone comparisons are massively reactionary. Hugely different trajectories imo. Please retain some faith Yousif mate, I generally agree with you.
To be fair not as bad as A.Madrid but defensively it remind me of Simeone teams just very physical and not getting bullied. Of course we play the highest defense line in europe so we can't completely compare with anyone

I'd say injuries to our more spontaneous players and teams rinsing low block against us has taken it's toll on the football. Other factors as well that I won't get into, but it's not intentional.

I think it’s half and half tbh.

The injuries (and refusal to keep selecting or not selecting certain players) has definitely played a big role.

But I’m also definitely seeing players stick to their lanes more than last season - we’re not doing as many rotations in game and our midfielders are always pulling out wide which to me says there’s a clear directive to progress wide and not take any chances through the middle and to stay in lanes so that we don’t get easily caught on the counter.

It’s on Mik is what I’m saying… I am a big fan of his but I’m not giving him a hall pass for this turgid nonsense I’m seeing.

What is life without risks?

Low block definitely the reason why our football is not great definitely need to be patient to braak teams down its sucks but at least does prove we good teams dont want to leave much space against us

In my opinion, it's more because Rice and Havertz simply can't do it. More of a consequence/an adaptation than a directive.

You don't really want to be exciting in this league if you're trying to win it anyways. Liverpool, Villa, Chelsea etc are all entertaining because they concede chances and play ping pong with their opponent betting on their superior attack. We don't do that.

It's actually more because Rice and Havertz simply can't do it. More of a consequence/an adaptation than a directive.

I want to agree with you, and I certainly do in the case of Havertz but it’s worth pointing out that this pulling out wide thing was sth we saw in pre season as well. I was starved of football so I went full @SA Gunner and watched all these YouTube tacticos and they all pointed it out.

Thankfully the tactico thing was just a phase 🥶

I agree with this.
Partey who can do it is absent.

It’s a whole new midfield compared to last season anyways, compounded with Ødegaard’s injury. I’m sure that’s not helping.

Definitely among the tougher fixtures in the league. Think we’ll need a lot of patience to break this team down. Contain Mbuemo and that’s a lot of the work done you feel…

Very important to come back and win this one. Especially with Liverpool vs City and Sp**s vs Villa.

Great opportunity to capitalise.

I wish teams will lie down for us like they do against our rivals. I'm expecting Brentford to play the game like a cup final after bending down for Liverpool last week

Proper football can't return quick enough...Haaland couldn't score against the Faeroese, what use is he? I hear we might give Solskjær another cap.

A calm and collected individual.
Would be surprised if Raya is eligible.

-----------Ramsdale-------------------
White-----Saliba---Gabriel---Tomiyasu
---- Ødegaard---Jorginho--Rice---
Saka --------Jesus----------Martinelli

Really hope Ramsdale is calm. I get the feeling he might think he needs to 'prove' himself. Worst thing he can do is think he needs to have a memorable game. Although have a feeling we may see Rice as the holding player and Haavertz on the left edge.

PLease no Nketiah. This game will be calm measured and tight. Last thing we need is a shadow upfront missing the chances that falls his way.
