Van Persie only wanted to go to them(no chance he wanted to go to Juve in 2012 either) sadly not much Arsène could do...bar keeping him an extra year and losing him for free, which we probably couldn't have done as that was the last year of the immediate stadium debt payment.

True, but still a very sore one for me seeing them win it that year though. I'd have had no ill will to him if he'd went to Juve, they'd a quality team at the time in comparison with United's.
