You know what is really fatiguing? Finishing second each season and justifying it somehow.

We are not taking advantage of our opportunities to close out the league when we are fully capable of doing so. This is why everyone is frustrated. We should be 12 points ahead if we could put a ball in the net.

I guess the rest of us have a passion to win it, so we’re less forgiving of clear under-performance.
Clear underperformance?

0.33vs2.36xg in a tough premier league away game is as dominant as it gets.

Sports has lots of variance, the best team doesn't always win.
We win this game a huge majority of the time, like we already did many times this season against other opposition.
We are 7 points clear for a reason.
End of story.

We are, but this year we should've gone above the challenge. We're making a meal out of a title that's been all but handed to us on a platter by City.
We still got 16 games left to play & are 7 points to the good. People are talking like it's over 💁🏼‍♂️

Yes I know we not playing great, but this is likely a 'blip'. If we have a blip & still not lose, it's not a bad blip.

I will reserve judgement until end of season. We need to sort our sh*t out tho, & fast.

We are just fans no one care about our opinion anyway, but just a question. would you be happy if this is what Arteta think about this game :lol:
Of course that's what Arteta and club sees. Thankfully we have become very analytical in our approach and know how and where to press our margins.
The first 35 mins were quite good and really dominant, next 30 really disappointing and Arteta was clearly unhappy about us losing control there. We regained control from 65th min on and finished fairly well.

Was just one of those games where the ball didn't wanna go in.
In the Chelsea game we scored 3, here 0.
That's variance man.

Yes this is why, he subbed in Merino and had a Merino Rice Zubi midfiled when chasing a result, this is why he started this midfield vs Liverpool and City, he know that with them he can brag about chances created with set-pieces and pretend that we have been good enough. Arteta is not good enough this season, his choices when not forced by injuries have been awful this season, you could even argue this is his worse season at the club.

No, that’s not the end of story.

There is always variance in sports. Variance itself concludes nothing. Also, we’ve won the majority of our matches the last three seasons, but finished second. You didn’t really provide any data that advances any predictive analysis regarding where we finish this season.

I believe that if we continue to rely solely on set plays, proceed with zero goal scored trend, and not take advantage of occasional opportunities the other top 3 teams provide us, we are not likely to hold a 7 point lead.

Really not the end of story is it - If it was, we’d be holding the league trophy.

How many wingers in europe gonna actually miss that Gabi chance?

I keep back to it but honestly at 0-0 open goal scoring this mean you put yourself in top position to get 3 points. These mini things matters

I honestly tired of him at this point
He just scored a hattrick give him a break.we drew not because martenelli missed one chance we drew because we showed no urgency and our build up was way too slow.

I'm so tired by people's overreaction to daily variance, seriously how can you even live life like that?

Martinelli missed a tap-in, Merino a clear header. Plus another 3-4 reasonable chances. Forrest didn't get a sniff.
0.33 to 2.37xg, we battered them but failed to convert our chances
End of story, move on to next game.

I get it, it's annoying, I'm annoyed too. But coming out with the "Omg we suck so bad, Arteta can't coach, player xyz is not good enough, sell everyone, sell Saka's kids" whenever variance doesn't go our way while we are frigging top of the table 7 points clear, makes you look like absolutely clueless buffoons.
Excellent post. People just expect us to create 20 chances every game and win by 4-5 goals. That's not gonna happen in the PL especially now with all the money in the league. Except for peak City for a couple of seasons where they were around 100 points, no team has won the title like that. Even the invincibles with much better attackers drew 12 games.

People are just getting swayed by social media.

Still fuming btw, absolute joke. If it was a top 6 side it's acceptable but what the fvck is this? 17th place NFO choked us like little pvssies.

Haha what are you talking about?
If we can keep having 0.33vs2.36xg games we are literally a lock to win the title...

Ok. Your data points will change.

If we continue to score 0 goals in each match, we won’t win anything and your data will look quite different. The performance comes before the data is gathered, not after.

Only Arteta could make being 7 pts clear feel so meh. It's really is some achievement.
He completely misses the spirit of the game. Its sterilised joyless football from a sterilised joyless man. No sense of occasion, or moment or excitement.
Even if we somehow don't bottle it and win it, we won't be memorable or strong champions. Will win it by default cause the rest of the league is trash.

Exactly. It’s no coincidence the week he hires a throw in coach is the week every media outlet runs with the league having a meeting on how to cut down on how long time throw ins and free kick takes and they all run with a picture of Ben White taking throw ins. His desire to breakdown a football match in different parts and control every aspect of a game drains all creativity of the players

Sadly he’s not alone and new breed managers are mostly going route

Very leggy performance from us. We put a lot in the game earlier this week. 2 tough away games we had here and it showed. Although Forest are 17th, City barely scraped a victory there a few weeks back. We didn't win but we didn't lose. We just have to make it up in the home straight.

Arsenal Quotes

I believe one of the best things about managing people is that we can influence lives in a positive way. That’s basically what a manager is about. When I can do that, I am very happy.
