We can hurt them for sure as we are strong where they are weak, counters and set pieces. Vicario is pathetic at dealing with balls into the box.

Although Jorgi/Partey against the legs they have in midfield is very worrying. Cheers Kavanagh you ****.

Tough, horrible fixture I wouldn’t like to call it.

Its all about game management with this team, get that right and we'll win.

What I see with them still is that they want to use their high press as their main form of defence by keeping teams pinned back. So I expect them to target TP5 on the ball and look for turnovers there, and TP5 winning that battle against Maddison or whoever they put on him, this in addition to them aggressively chasing the ball when we build.

There are ways to manipulate them. The first is to use TP5 in the #6 to draw their first line forward and then get the ball in behind that line. The second is to press them high when they look to build short, as they are shaky in that area at times too.

If we take the lead, we can then sit off them and force them to take the risks on the ball, and adapt our build up play more towards possession play. I'd still press them situationally for high turnovers as well.

They will be right up for this game, playing out of their skins. So we must be ready for that, and maintain composure throughout the 95 minutes.

Two things here.... Score first and then manage the game thereafter with no cute passing or gimmicks Raya. If we do that we'll win, and I think we will do that.

Worried about our MF for this, fascinated as to how Mikel is going to configure it. Will he double pivot with Jorgi + Partey and go 4-2-3-1 or will he stick to the 4-3-3 and drop Kai into MF?

EDIT: Also would be nice if we don't gift Spurs a penalty, seems like every time we play them at their ground they get a ****ing peno

even with our injuries and suspensions anything less then 3 points is unnaceptable to me, we could have 8 players missing and i would still demand a win against these lot, i don't care if it's a ****house 1-0 from a set piece, just win.

People are overthinking this. A team as one dimensional as this spurs side - there really isn’t any excuse to lose to them, Rice or no Rice.

Play compact and don’t let them draw you out. Attack down the wings and get balls in the box because VdV cannot handle them. And win corners because they can’t defend them for ****.

Expecting both Gabriel and Saliba to get on the scoresheet for this one.

They are due a home win against us. I think they will get it
i don't get this mentality, we are better then them we should at a minimum expect a win against them no matter the circumstances.

It’s a derby between two close teams. Anything can happen. Last season there were two close games that ended 5-4 in total to us. If we get a draw it’s a good result

fair enough, i think we'll win but i think it will be close but our quality will tell, i think the players will be more ont it after the result against brighton and with city away after this game 3 points is all that matters.

Sterling will come on in the 2nd half for Nelli. Jorginho may start over Partey.

Last season they had more attempts, possession and higher xgoals over the two legs. I think they are better than us at keeping possession and if we win it will be counter and a lot of defending

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
