Line up is pretty obvious tbh.

Same back 4, Jorginho and Partey as a two, Trossard and Havertz rotating between midfield and false 9, Saka picks himself then Martinelli on the left. Only possible spanner I am expecting is Sterling starting over Martinelli but just don’t see that happening. Then you have Sterling and Jesus off the bench, both work horses. Don’t think we’re going to miss Odegaards press.

Only way I see this selection not happening is a concern for Jorginhos match sharpness considering his age and lack of playing time

Don’t think that’s obvious at all. I’d play 50 different combos before I decided to use the old timers together

We'll win. Tottenham are not only a bang average side but they're also allergic to expectations. Coming in with the perceived advantage will hurt them. If we drop points, it will be because of another refereeing disaster class, not anything they do.

My selection for Sunday's game.

Martinelli-------Jesus--------Sterling
----------Havertz----Saka
------------------TP5
Timber--Gabriel----Saliba----White
------------------Raya

Trossard, Nwaneri, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Lewis-Skelly, Kiwior, Neto

Combinations are out on our right side, but we'll be looking to attack space more in this game as Sp**s will want to dominate possession. We must be efficient in possession and push them back out of possession.

Sticking to my 2-0 win, its going to be a tough game with their quick combination play. But I think our out of possession game will weather the storm here. We'll force them into mistakes for sure.

This is what I'd go for, maybe Havertz up top and Jorgi/Partey sitting. Jesus would be a good option from the bench, but then we'd have no other midfield options.. difficult.

Call me crazy, but I'd give Nwaneri a run out. We're short in midfield, and there's no point risking Ødegaard having a long layoff as we know those cnuts would target him. Best to hope he's fit for City, but if he's not, there's no point risking him then as you need 11 fit players against them.

Bit weird playing an away CL game on a Thursday night. Why couldn't we play Sp**s today then Atalanta on Wednesday? Utter madness.

Curious about the choice with Saka in midfield but this might be a very good one give us more mobility to instead of Jorginho and Partey.

Jorginho-Partey will become so redundant if we also play Timber/Zinchenko at LB. What are we gonna do in possession? Have 3 players on top of each other from deep midfield? Play Jorginho as a box-crashing midfielder? There's no logical sense to play that way unless we just ask our LB to play as a traditional LB and have Jorginho and Partey hold because we're too scared of Sp**s who A-M tells me is **** anyways.

I just feel it'll be too regressive and we'll hand too much of the initiative to Sp**s. For 3/4 years we've played with a 6, a left 8 who gets forward and looks to get into the box and does a lot of run, and the right 8 who most of the play is built around. Jorginho and Partey both only fit into one of those roles and I don't see why we should change everything for Sp**s. For the left 8 position Havertz, Trossard and Timber are all more favourable. For right 8 you either go Havertz or Saka. The reason I include Timber although he's not exactly gonna be a threat in advanced positions he still has the dynamism to get about the pitch and receive it well inadvanced areas. Jorginho under pressure in advanced areas will just lose position, or if we change the dynamics of the team to have two deep midfielders we'll not be able to keep the ball in the opposition 3 especially with lack of Ødegaard.

If Calafiori was available we could easily go

Raya
White Saliba Gabriel Calafiori
Partey
Havertz Timber
Saka Trossard Martinelli
I'd still prefer Saka central but could see Mikel go for this, we'd not lose much defensively from what we usually do with that midfield, Havertz helps with the loss of physicality from Rice, while Trossard can come back and help the midfield transition into attack. Nelly and Saka to maintain a threat as Sp**s commit men forward.

Mikel… Is this real?

This ****ing bum almunia ruined my childhood. The worst keeper I've ever seen in my lifetime. Still to this day I don't understand how he played so many games for Arsenal.

I remember when he had an absolutely horrendous game v United in 2005, which included letting John freakin' O'Shea chip him...and thinking to myself "Well he won't be here much longer"

But he somehow stayed here until 2011, with much of that as first choice ffs... Emirates era Arsène was just different vibe when you think back!

Arsenal Quotes

What does Arsenal mean? It means class. The structure of the Club, everything has a classy feel about it. It isn't always about success, there is more than that and this is what makes it a cut above the rest.
