Congrats to Arteta and the boys. It was a really good team performance where every single player sacrificed a part of their own game for the collective. I couldn't stop laughing that the midfield pensioners lasted the whole game and were pretty untroubled. I'm delighted that Nwaneri had such a good cameo in such a high value match. But the mist pleasing thing for me was the brave/risky passing that we tried to win the game. It was a bit freestyle but the intent was welcome. It will pay off in other matches (or cost us). Well done to Arteta on his tactics and offensive subs. If Jesus and Sterling can start firing, we'll have a good first 18.

It was how we set the game, if we played high line and we would be done. Jorginho had some troubles in some duels that put us in open counters. Gladly Timber is very solid defensively.

I wouldn't call it an experiment but these passes looked deliberate to me. We are usually quite safe and these were a bit handbrake off.

It is related to how we played. Directly quick transitions needs longer passes which means less % accuracy. When playing possession and high line means players are closer each other, closer passes and less space so less direct football.

Our defense is world class. Jorginho and TP worked their socks off but most of time in 1v1, non zonal defending they got done imo. Especially Jorginho.
