Tbf though Partey was always more of a dlp.

Rice has it in him to be that as well, at least from a passing perspective. He definitely has it in him to play those line breaking passes. I think it’s more a mentality thing. He’s “brought up” as a cb or dm and is a protector first and foremost and will as such always risk minimize. Which is a shame tbh
