A dramatic night at the Phillips Stadium was worth remembering a hard fought valuable point.

Arsenal drew their fourth consecutive match in the Champions League, in which two Arsenal players were sent off, in Patrick Vieira and Lauren.
The team knew a win here would virtually ganurante qualification into the next group stage.

Arsène Wenger’s side had to come from behind to get it and had two players sent off as they strove to preserve it in the second half. But it means that if they beat Rosenborg at Highbury on the final night of Champions League Group E they will reach the knockout stage.

Arsenal don’t like to make it easy for themselves in the Champions League , and though they could afford to lose against Rosenborg ,provided if Panthiniakos beat them .However if Pana beat PSV Eindohoven , Arsenal would still need to beat Rosenberg.

The visitors got off with the worst possible start by allowing Andre Ooijer to get a clean header, from Jefferson Farfan’s shot in between Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry .Arsenal needed something tonight. Something extra.

The return of Sol Campbell was supposed to give Arsenal the confidence at the back-instead he was put in to the team with the loss at old Trafford still in their minds.

Arsenal started well in this game and the visitors responded well in the opening minutes when Francesc Fabregas through ball to Henry in the opening minutes was the extent of Arsenal's chances before PSV went ahead.

Arsenal was a team looking for a win and this is not what Le boss had ordered.

To the gunner’s credit, Arsenal resounded quickly and kept their cool -at least for a while at least. Arsenal pushed PSV back in the twenty secant minute when Henry cleverly stole the ball from Wilfred Bouma, and kept the ball in -only to shot into the side netting.

The miss made the world's best striker even hungrier. He dribbled across the right hand side of the pitch, holding off Bouma in the Process. He then tapped a short pass to Freddie Ljunberg who magnificently back-heeled it back to Henry, who then gave a sweet finish into the back of the net.

Two good chances came five minutes after the break, one from Jose Antonio Reyes and the other from Sol Campbell who had a good call for a penalty when his jersey was tugged by an oojier.

Rapid 62nd minutes saw Van Bommel skip in front of Ashley Cole and fired a fast shot near-post which Jens Lehmann did well to save.
Then..Two minutes later Lauren fouled young-Pyo Lee badly and was sent off.
This was Arsenal's first sending off since Martin Keown was in a Carling cup match against Middlesbrough and was Arsène Wenger's 55th sending off since he has been in charge .The 56th was soon to follow shortly.

Arsenal had a lot on their shoulders. But Henry almost lifted that Weight when he beat Farfan and bobbled a shot to Gomes, who tipped the ball around the post.

Arsenal carried on attacking. Van Persie chipped a shot wide from Thierry Henry’s pass, just as he came on. Freddie Ljunberg Half-volleyed another Henry pass , but again Gomes saved.

Patrick Vieira was then harshly sent off, for his second book able offence in the match.

The young substitute Robin Van Persie was soon stretched off when he injured himself in a high tackle. Mathieu Flamini came on, as the young Arsenal side defended resolutely.

When the finale whistle went, the PSV fans cheered as they found out their team reached the last 16.

Arsenal however could join them-Their Future in the Champions League is in their own hands.
