✍️ OFFICIAL Raheem Sterling

Would you be happy with Sterling (on a cheap/loan deal) as our attacking signing?

As long as he's not taking minutes from Trossard that the Belgian deserves more, I see no issue. He can deputize for Saka and the fact that Arteta actually trusts him should hopefully keep the Starboy fresh. Hopefully he can find some of what he had at City and be reinvigorated by being in a stable atmosphere pursuing silverware again.

We got lucky but I think if we really want a specific player or profile and couldn't get it, deferring the signing by a year with a stopgap of Sterling's quality is a good move. Can't be upset at that personally, especially at the bargain fee we reportedly got.

Attack looks significantly stronger with him as an option on both sides of the pitch. Hope he balls out.

We'll be able to tell quite quickly if Raheem Anelka can contribute something or not. Based on the last he did at Chelsea there's no real reason to be excited but hopefully he has a bit more on him.

If the money involved in this deal is as reported then it’s outrageous work by Edu, completely bullying Boehly.

Sterling is still like 4x the player Nelson is and you got him for almost nothing in a market that had very few realistic options.

Obviously a bit of luck involved but the result is insane and sets you up for a big investment in that area next summer.

It's an absolutely immense deal. Nelson loan fee and wages off the books becomes Sterling for no loan fee and half his £300k wages, maybe less.

Incredible, incredible deal.

I feel we're very much covered in the forward line for the season in a way we were very close to not being.

Well done Edu and Co.

Absolute late late show !

Did we time it like this intentionally or just roll the dice & play the market ?

Whatever, I'm pleased we have a legitimate forward player Teta will use & hopefully Reiss can showcase himself a bit at Fulham so we can sell him next summer.

Hopefully Sterling won't be another Willian, but will play like he has a point to prove.

We move.

Very happy with this tbh, Jorginho and Havertz have shown that Chelsea form doesn't mean ish when talking about quality players and he's capable at RWF of covering for Saka and also for Martinelli.

Would like to see how he does and maybe even keep him another year he's the right type of profile as long as he can produce the form he had for City.

Sterling plays absolutely nothing like Anelka in any way whatsoever, what are you even chatting about.

Think its likely we'll see Trossard in the no.9 spot more this season and so then Sterling makes a lot of sense, we have 6 realistic forward options who can all cover multiple positions either in the front line or in midfield other than Saka/Martinelli who are seemingly the starters in their positions.

Very good squad building has to be said.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
