Was the GOAT, was declining a bit towards the end... having Neville as his co com didn't help, even in the Kompany goal here T-bags's "ohhhhh" is just so annoying...bellend.

The Riise v United free kick shows why him and Gray were the best ever comm duos, just sounds so genuine...that pair will never get beat.

I still think Drury is good, but do agree he's much better in smaller doses...only hearing him a few times a year during Champions League games back in the day, suited his style more.

This is the worst thing you've ever said.

@Tir Na Nog

You, myself and Roy Keane seem to be some of the few people who can actually think outside the hive mind of most that just because something is new/current...it doesn't mean it's the best...

...the elite quality of the play back then kinda gets forgotten about due to how aggressive it was, like Vieira and Keane just being "ball winning DMs"

But a few of us are still standing to educate the uninformed ✊

I don't mind Drury as he's calling a match ... until someone scores, and then we're stuck with him trying way too hard to turn every goal into a 'moment'.

If United scores a goal against Villa to make it 2-0 in a game where they're battling for 6th place, it isn't like someone scored a golden goal in a World Cup Final, buddy.

As others have said, it's like a chef spoiling a recipe by over-adding 15 different kinds of spices. Sometimes the moment has to breathe and speak for itself. Most of the time it isn't even a moment.

He's just trying to make things sound more exciting than they are. What's wrong with that? I love his hyperbole, alliteration, metaphors and similes

He just tries too hard too often and it’s becoming a bit of a meme.

Too much of anything is unpleasant.

The announcer's job is to tell fans what is happening and capture the feel of the event, not invent a fake narrative that something is more exciting/important than it actually is.

When I watch a sporting event, I don't want to notice the announcer. I like old school commentators who let the event breathe, do less with more, keep it crisp/clean/simple. The players are the stars, not the guy with the microphone. People used to understand that but not so much nowadays it seems.

It isn't THE LAUNCH OF A GLITTERING NEW ERA THE STREETS RUN RED IN MANCHESTER every time United score a meaningless goal against a midtable team.

Anyway, what do people think about that weird video I posted? It made me feel weird and I can't watch it again. Sorry if I sound naive but ..is it real or AI? 🙈

Arsenal Quotes

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
