something Zlatan would do.
Goal of the year:
The consequences of downplaying the new gen to the extreme because of nostalgia. This guy averaged about 9 league goals per season with a career high of 18 and he's talking like this
Peter Drury will never have the streets like this![]()
Yea he was always deluded, nothing to do with nostalgia. He’s always spoken like this, even back in the day in his playing days he backed himself for top clubs and international football.
Tyler was knackered by the end, just didn’t have the energy. His peak was iconic though. Always felt he had a real soft spot for Henry/Arsenal too.I complained about Tyler but the guy has an aura so far clear of failed poet Peter Drury.
Deluded with Kane, Isak is the only name questionable. He’s better than the rest. Salah wasn’t a striker, Son too.Yea he was always deluded, nothing to do with nostalgia.
Some of those names are ridiculous as well though, Watkins has like three or four seasons of PL footy to his name, Jota and Havertz are not strikers etc.

How is he better than Vardy who has multiple 20+ prem seasons with Leicester? He only clears DCL, Havertz and Jackson (as of now) in that list, rest are better or have had better peak seasons at least. Massively overrated playerDeluded with Kane, Isak is the only name questionable. He’s better than the rest. Salah wasn’t a striker, Son too.
Vardy/Defoe is 50/50.
Defoe was a poacher and useless when he wasn't scoring, I'd say Isak is already well ahead.Deluded with Kane, Isak is the only name questionable. He’s better than the rest. Salah wasn’t a striker, Son too.
