UEFA allow two games from La Liga and Serie A to be played outside of Europe. But they indicate that FIFA will change the rules so this won't happen in the future. For some reason i very much doubt that that's true.

Quite mindblowing that a nation is desperate enough to do this and thought they could get away with it. All 7 players are also now banned from football for at least a year.
The document itself is damning from FIFA.

Much respect to Maddison for showing this. Obviously there are worse things in life than a rich person getting injured and he gets the benefit of everything that comes with being wealthy in terms of treatment, but at the end of the day top level footballers are still just "normal" people.
I especially appreciate him showing the relationship between the players and the behind the scenes staff, it's often completely ignored by fans but it's worth remembering every club is more than just the players and coaches.
