There’s some magic to the club, for sure, and it’s been some time since the Gunners were a genuine contender for the crown. With a new coach for the first time in ages, plenty of high-flying attackers, and status as second-best to their long-time rival Tottenham, there’s intrigue at Arsenal and a new fan wouldn’t be a bandwagon jumper.

Bobby Madley quits as referee

Rumors have it there was a leaked video showing he ****ed a dog. He packed his bags and left immediately. Very suspicious that the rumour may be true. Also turns out he is's 32, I thought he is well into his 40s. ****ing dogs really do a big damage to your body and you age faster it seems. Speaks volumes about Alexis and his form too. So must be true.

Terrible hot takes
Anybody know the organization of the broadcast from PL games?

Who holds the "main" rights and can sell it to other countries ? Is that camera company owned by the Premier League itself?

Or is it cameramen from sky or whatever?

Is the footage shown the same in every country or can the broadcasting companies in each country produce it however they like? For halftime talks and whatever?

The Premier League holds the rights and makes separate deals with various countries and regions. Each broadcaster can put together their own highlight packages and studio shows. For instance, NBC Sports here in the U.S. has a post-match highlight show called Goalzone and also produces two Match of the Day shows similar to the BBC program as well as a Match of the Week. Premier League Mornings airs before and between matches. But they also air packaged highlight and preview shows produced by the Premier League.

As for the camera work, I have no idea.

Nominations for the World XI:

Tor (5): Gianluigi Buffon (Italien/Paris Saint-Germain), Thibaut Courtois (Belgien/Real Madrid), David de Gea (Spanien/Manchester United), Keylor Navas (Costa Rica/Real Madrid) und Marc-André ter Stegen (Deutschland/FC Barcelona).

Abwehr (20): Jordi Alba (Spanien/FC Barcelona), Dani Alves (Brasilien/Paris Saint-Germain), Daniel Carvajal (Spanien/Real Madrid), Giorgio Chiellini (Italien/Juventus Turin), Virgil van Dijk (Niederlande/FC Southampton, FC Liverpool), Diego Godín(Uruguay/Atlético Madrid), Mats Hummels (Deutschland/FC Bayern München), Joshua Kimmich (Deutschland/FC Bayern München), Dejan Lovren (Kroatien/FC Liverpool), Marcelo (Brasilien/Real Madrid), Yerry Mina (Kolumbien/FC Barcelona, FC Everton), Benjamin Pavard (Frankreich/VfB Stuttgart), Gerard Piqué (Spanien/FC Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Spanien/Real Madrid), Thiago Silva (Brasilien/Paris Saint-Germain), Kieran Trippier (England/Tottenham Hotspur), Samuel Umtiti (Frankreich/FC Barcelona), Raphaël Varane (Frankreich/Real Madrid), Sime Vrsaljko (Kroatien/Atlético Madrid, Inter Mailand) und Kyle Walker (England/Manchester City)

Mittelfeld (15): Sergio Busquets (Spanien/FC Barcelona), Casemiro (Brasilien/Real Madrid), Philippe Coutinho (Brasilien/FC Liverpool, FC Barcelona), Kevin De Bruyne(Belgien/Manchester City), Eden Hazard (Belgien/FC Chelsea), Andrés Iniesta(Spanien/FC Barcelona, Vissel Kobe), Isco (Spanien/Real Madrid), N'Golo Kanté(Frankreich/FC Chelsea), Toni Kroos (Deutschland/Real Madrid), Nemanja Matic(Serbien/Manchester United), Luka Modric (Kroatien/Real Madrid), Paul Pogba(Frankreich/Manchester United), Ivan Rakitic (Kroatien/FC Barcelona), David Silva(Spanien/Manchester City) und Arturo Vidal (Chile/FC Bayern München, FC Barcelona)

I'd probabaly go for something like this:

Buffon
Pavard Godín Ramos Marcelo
Modric De Bruyne Rakitic
Mbappe Ronaldo Salah

Buffon went to a CL semi final at his age.
Pavard rather out of nowhere into the France XI to win a WC. Godín won the EL and had a great WC run with Uruguay. Ramos another CL obviously and there's not too many guys in there who have done more than him this season. Marcelo obv best LB.
Modric won the CL, Rakitic LaLiga, both took Croatia to a WC final. De Bruyne had an oustanding season with City and was probably the league's best player.
Mbappe the standout talent for France WC win. Ronaldo with another CL. Salah took Liverpool to a CL final with his goals.

I'd probably put ter Stegen or Courtois in goal, and Walker (bit biased but see him every week) in that side, otherwise, it would take some beating!

Not a huge amount of difference between yours and what I'd pick.

Navas
Pavard Varane Ramos Marcelo
Modric Kante De Bruyne
Salah Ronaldo Mbappe
